what do you mean american money has colours? its not really, its all green with a certain tinge.. american monday is boring and easier to remake than canadian money, good video though.
Nice vid but u left out the black light effect on the canadain bills witch shows little dots and hairline scratches also if u wipe it on paper it should leave a mark .it's different color so it can be identified faster.last thing if you look at tha old 20 from ten years ago on the side with the queen stair at swirls in her hair u start to see the devil like horns on her head I know so much more tricks and cool things about dough but I won't bore u no longer and if u read this far u must be bo
I have a feeling the $10 bill will be removed from circulation in the coming years. The purchases that would cause demand for the $10 is getting less and less. All $10 bills can buy now are a single beer and meals at McDonald's, A&W, or other fast food outlets - which people pay mainly with $20's, only to get 2 $5 bills back in change. It's sad how the $10 bill is seen less and less now, and I bet Sir John A. MacDonald is rolling in his grave right now as I post this.
Back when the one-dollar coin was introduced (1987), the cast was stolen during shipping from Ottawa to the mint in Winnipeg. The coin had the Mounties (RCMP) on the back. Due to the theft, the mint immediately cancelled the Mounties coin and used the back-up coin which had a picture of a loon.
At the time, most Canadians hated the idea of a $1 coin instead of a bill, and someone called the coin as Loonie (to discredit it) but the name stuck and is still used until this very day.
Appreciate your video - too bad you don't know to much Cdn history. Each person or thing on the bills and coin has some historical or cultural significance. On the dime, for example, is the Bluenose, a famous Cdn sailing ship. On the $5 bill is Sir Wilfred Laurier (lor-e-ah), Canada's 7th Prime Minister etc. The back of the quarter is a caribou, not a moose, and the back of the toonie is a polar bear, not a black bear, although Canada has both animal residing somewhere in the country.
Yeah, that is the main drawback of the american education system, we bearly know the history of our own country, let alone the history of other countries. Other than the penny, nickle, dime and quarter, I had never even seen any Canadian Money before I crossed the boarder, and many people here are in the same boat, so I made the video for them.
Queen Elizabeth is technically Canada's head of state, that's why she's on our money. When you talk about her being on our money she is the Queen of Canada.
haha no problem! This video is really interesting, great comparison! I actually didn't even know American money has colour to it, like the orange ten, I thought all of the bills were green in colour haha. Also on the Canadian quarter it's actually a Caribou, but most Canadians mistake it for a moose as well, and on the dime is the Bluenose, a famous racing schooner from Nova Scotia. Thanks for the video!
History lesson on Canadian Money. On the $100 is Sir Robert Borden, was Prime Minister i Believe durring WW I, back is about Technolegy, the $50 is William Lyon Mackenzie King, Longest serving Prime Minister, back is Womens Rights with the Canaian equivelnt of Susan B. Anthony, $20 u know, the $10 bill is the First Canadian Prime Minister Sir John A. MacDonald, back is Peace. On the $5 is Sir Wilifred Laurier, the first French-Canadian Prime Minister, back is 2 honour winter sports.
Yeah, I noticed that the first time I was in Canada. All US paper money is 6.125 inches in length. and I had to guess about the bear, but I never would have associated Polar Bear with Canada. If only they told you what it was on the coin. I feel dumb.
Sorry canucktunes, I hit remove instead of reply. I reposted your comment. Thank you for all the info on Canadian money, being from the USA, I was ignorant and your filling in the blanks was much appreciated! :)
Just a bit of info : The sailboat on our dime is the Bluenose, a Nova Scotia built racing ship that was undefeated for nearly two decades. Laurier is pronounced like low-ree-ay in Canada. I believe that's the war memorial dollar coin released in 1994. The bear on our $2 coin is a polar bear and our government is actually now contemplating a $5 coin. Canada is in the commonwealth and the queen's representatives are required to enact laws in our provincial and federal legislature.
Australian money is really bright in colors and different to each other . You can also wash the money here and it wont split cause its plastic :) Hope you're well mate .

The color in the amarican money was added over the last five or six years. Before that, all the bills were green.
The new money still looks odd to me, I miss the old style bills of my youth.
