Since moving to Oz I've heard Mundine mention just about every decent boxer from SM to JM, the only reason he's mentioning the likes of PBF is because he knows that PBF is only going to have a couple more fights at most and he's safe from ever getting a yes.
Mundine's a domestic level fighter really, the best of an ordinary bunch that's about his mark.

Im from England and I'd never heard of Mundine till I got to Australia, then I saw his game and realised he's just another bum milking things domestically, but pretending he's doing things internationally.

@superdonyoungy all I can say at least IN THE RING it is genuine fights. sadly not like how GREEN and BRIGGS turned out. was dodgy in the fight itself. and the MUNDINE and WATERS antics after the JEREZ botu is common. sadly imight add. they use the WWE all show tactics to draw people into the fights. in the U.S it is well known alot of the lead ups to the next fights is staged with all the cussing and pshing and shoving etc to draw you in. not lik the old days anymore. sadly.

Funny thing, everyone says Mundine fights bums and cab drivers. Just like in all sport, very few boxers are on the world class level. In basketball, football, baseball and all other sport, the good, the bad and the ugly get taken on. You can not fight world class fighters in every fight. Mundine is a great money maker he is not a great boxer nor will he be remembered as one. He realised early on in his career he couldnt beat the best overseas so he stayed in Australia fighting taxi drivers, he was very lucky to get away with the Geale fight!

2nd.He does have to fight the best,that's how it works.

Mundine schooled him for 10 rounds until being knocked out bye a temple shot which can knock anyone out so theres one. Manny siaca his second title defence but yet goes alright.

Ottke is one of the worst champs the division has ever seen.
His fight against Robin Reid was a blatant robbery, it's on youtube, Ottke was a woeful fighter with 6 KO's.
His claim to fame was a split decision over Byron Mitchell (who calzaghe knocked out in 2nd round).
I would let Mundine off the loss as he was doing OK in what was an early outing as a fighter, but he got splayed out by a crap fighter. The fact Mundine was so green and got the fight shows the sort of opposition Ottke had.
