  • Two words sweat

  • so far so good my man u have a great taste for fish

  • Nice placidochromis electra

  • FRONTOSA THE BEST ;)

  • wow man to me that's good enough

  • awesome tank!

  • so they don't grow very fast? will they get huge? do you have them still? can you look at mine and tell me how old you think they are. thanks.

  • @homewreckerrob - Your fish looks between 2 & 5 months old... they can be fully grown in 6 months if you feed them twice to 3 times a day, just make sure your filtration can handel it...Malawi's will stop eating if they are full...

  • @diespar full grown in 6 months? wow thats awsome, how big will they get? i just traded my silver dollars for a huge flowerhorn who is mellow as can be . silvers looked scarred as could be . will my african's get as big as the flowerhorn? thanks.

  • how old are the fish in this video? thanks.

  • @homewreckerrob - about 2 years old, the Fronts is about 4...

  • Looks good, the frontosa are the best fish in the tank though :)

  • Diespar is 70x75x200cm

  • @mamotretointhenight - ...YES...

  • 1000 LITER? ITS LOOK LIKE 300 - 400 LITER !!

  • @LevTheCichlid - 700cm x 750cm x 2000cm = ...

  • @diespar - sorry... 700mmx750mmx2000mm

  • very nice tank mate how many do you have in there? check mine out?

  • hey check out my vid of the 40 gallon cichlid tank, and give me some reccomendations because OBVIOUSLY you know how to decorate a tank!!

  • you have such a sick tank haha

do u think sand is better for cichlids than rocks?

  • @Diegovaiasuso - Are you talking about substrate?? Yes malawi's love sand, some of them 'move' sand all day long by picking it up in there mouth and spitting it out somewhere else...

  • @Hobden2XD - No, there is no other tanganyikans in the tank accept the fronts and that is because they grew up in a busy malawi tank. I put them in a tank by themselfs once but they where unhappy so i put them back with the malawi's and now they are happy again...

  • Very Nice Aquarium you have here man. Love the Set up and the Cichlids. May I ask you, What type of Filtration do you use too keep your water so clean ??

  • @DgosFinnest - I use a big sump filter with a lot of bio media, i also double dose my carbon. If you want crystal clear water you can also use RO/DI water like i do with my reef tank...a good UV sterilizer also wont hurt...

  • nice tank mate im abit puzzled ne chance u can look at my latest vid and tell me if i have to many not enough or just right when it come to the amount of fish i bin keeping them for a year now in a smaller tank which i got a vid of moved them to a 240l tank with a 305l filter added more fish aggression seem to b stable but now and then a fish looks to have takern a beating from someone and i thought i had enough fish to control aggression

  • @ndse8 - Very nice, your fish gives good colour to the tank. You will always have aggression in a malawi tank, i would put more rock in so they have more hiding places if they are being chased... Try Bio rock that they use in marine tanks, its lighter so you can stack it higher and it also gives the best bio filtration, then you can use your filter only for mechanical and chemical filtration...

  • @diespar cheers mate ill have a look around for the bio rock i had to take the rock out u c in the vid cos of the amount of fish waste that built up put in black cobbles from b&q looks nice ill put a vid of it up

  • When it comes to fish-keeping, no tank is too big.

  • Great aquarium!! Although it's not only Malawi. There are a few Cynotilapia Frontosa, which are from Tanganyka (I love this fish). But it's OK, I got myself an aquarium with cyclids from Malawi and Tanganyka. They share the same water conditions.

  • Also, this tank has a huge sump filter with alot of bio fitration beneath it pushing the water volume up to 1600L... As i have a marine tank aswell, i am very strict about water quality...

  • Awesome. I wish my tank was this big, i'd feel more comfortable with my setup and fish health. Dammmnnnn!! Anyway for the sake of your fish, very good job! They have quite a good living area. (contrary to what people say) This tank is not overstocked. They are behaving quite calmly and seem very content. This tank is good to go.

  • You have a nice collection of fish, but in my opinion there are way to many fish in that tank, considering the size some of them can reach (Frontosa's, venustus and the compressiceps). Also I'm not a big fan of mixing species from various environments. If you have less fish in your tank you might be able to see some more of their natural behavior. Which is cool to look at ;) Please don't take this the negative way, it's just an opinion :)

  • @Razgriz218 mbuna need to be crowded to stop aggresion.

  • yes, exept for the fronts, its mostly males... I dont like to get fry, i always need to remove all the rocks to catch them...

  • AWESOME tank.

  • im about to go from 150g to 1000l on my mixed malawi.. partly because my tangerine zebras are knocking nine bells out of each other even when its overcrowded... your tank gives me hope.

  • Hi, thank u guys, yes I had the fronts in their own setup but they are alot happier in the malawi tank, I had all my fish since they were babies so the bond between us is very strong, hehe

  • Verry nice setup, love your fish keep up the good work!

  • they look like fronts in there?? but i guess mostly malawi ...nice tank..

  • wow what a set up! your cichlids must be very happy! =) They're beautiful.
