I dont get it. I have download this and I have unzipped it. Now I don't get it how to open it in portal. Yes I see that there is download map button but then I don't get how to download the maps from folder to the game.

I gotta say: most maps are made by children with an IQ of -80. Most maps are not even possible, one map crashed my game and other maps are really fun, but the exit is not reachable (without cheats). Bad mappack.

sigh, i downloaded the zip, extracted. what now? i tried just putting the whole folders into the 'maps' folder where Portal is and some options showed up in the Bonus Maps but couldn't load the maps, when i just put in the .bsp file into maps it didnt' even show up. PLEASE HELP!

Ok new maps are great but how do you download them? I just got the game so I dont know what im doing. O yea and how do you get to that mod map where you can spawn a ton of turrets and stuff????

Right Download it. Its a .rar in this case. If you haven't already, get a program like IZArc that opens them. open it, then extract all the map files to the portal maps folder. This is located at:

C:/Program Files/ Steam/SteamApps/(your steam username)/ Portal/ portal/ Maps

Alternatively, you could find the .bsp files in the download, and copy and paste them into the maps folder.

You can load BSP files in the demo version but not BMZ's. To play a BSP in the demo, rename it to testchmb_a_00 and place it in the portal map folder, then type "map testchmb_a_00" into the console.

rapidshare has a new verification system now, also crap.

sure, they don't want computer downloading stuff but it's near impossible for humans to read those codes! and with increasing waiting times for each download, I say rapidshare sucks. Just upload to a decent, free website. (wikisend or something)

you need to create a bns file, looks like this (Create it in notepad then change the file type)

When you run portal it should be in the Bonus Maps seection.
