I voted Democrat in 2006 so they would bring the troops home, and we got a surge and a continuation of the Patriot Act. Obama, Hillary, and Edwards refused to promise in the last debate to withdraw the troops in the next 5 years! Kucinich only raised $300,000 last quarter.

The question is not why are candidates asking for money, but who is giving money to a particular candidate? Follow the money and you'll know where the candidate is coming. If you want a candidate funded by defense contractors and Wall Street hedge fund managers, then Kucinich is not your guy. But if you want a candidate raising money $50 and $100 at a time from folks like you, then you'll be a Kucinich supporter.
