i totally agree his skates do look really different. anyways... i love the way he explains it. when i learned my double axel i showed my coach the video one morning before school and she loved it. anyways i think the waltz jump is lil easier than the toe loop. thumbs up if you i agree!

a waltz jump may be easier but its not a toe jump, its an edge jump to be honest the waltx jump is so easy i tought it to myself when i was is basic 5 or 6 (usfs not isi)

these totally help. i could only get a half rotation on the jumps but it explains the whole ones now

easiest? no way! All my toe jumps are weird, but this is by far the hardest. My flip and lutz are fine...but this is the one toe jump I can't do. *sigh* He helped some, though. :)

@st4l10n43v4 Well, a right back outside edge would be the edge of the right skate, on the outside of the blade, and vice versa. Inside, would be the inside of the blade. If you look at the tracings your blades make when you glide on the ice, there should be two distinct lines, caused by the edges of the blades.

this is so anoying, i'm relearning these jumps after an injury were i lost most of the moves i could do . this is great help but i'm a right rotater and its different for me and i can never see a vid of someone doing it my way, if any of you rotate right, please film it and send to me, thanks

i jump and spin to the right as well but i download those videos, use a video editing program to make a mirror version of them and there you go - all skaters jumping my way ;)

It's not a rocker, it's a specially designed blade that allows him to do a spread eagle on his heels. It's not part of the blade's rocker.
