@colourmegone the actual study as published in the JPHS can be easily found online - just google "Gender differences in receptivity". the first result should be on elaine hatfield's website - one of the two authors of the article.
For those interested in seeing Shermer having his ass handed to him by the brilliant and far more "Bright" Stephen C. Meyer, check out my profile. Once you see the intellectual beatdown Meyer gives him you'll never look at Shermer the same again.
I have too many books on my "Have to read" list and I'm not sure when I'll get up to reading Michael Shermer's book, but I'm curious about that study because the graph showed a significant difference (the under-statement of this video's posting history) between the two sexes.
Myself, and I'm betting a whole lot of other people (3,541at this point being the maximum), would really appreciate it if someone took the time and posted a comment about what were the second and third questions. Thank you.

Shermer is a skeptic and poses that all people are skeptics, so by default Shermer cannot count out skeptics that disagree with him or regard them as being wrong because he himself is set in his own mind set as being correct. His conversation can be taken from more than one aspect.
by disagreeing with the idea of demanding evidence before you accept something as true or likely to be true, means you do not demand evidence, hence the term "skeptic" will not apply to you.
too bad some of his speech was cut off...i wanted to hear more about the study that showed differences between men and women's thought processes...guess ill just have to get his book.
Why is Michael Shermer 4/5 (The Amazing Meeting 3 not posted?

@colourmegone Thank you, it was very interesting but I'd still like to see Part 4 of Mr Shermer's lecture.
