  • After all this time....

    Always...!

  • Snape hates Nevil so much because Nevil could have beenthe choosen one, therfore saving Lily.

  • snape truly was the bravest man ever he loved one woman for his whole life even after she married the man he despised and after she died he continued to protect her son even though he was a constant reminder that the woman he loved had chosen someone else ~ Love is just friendship on fire it can be the most magical thing in the world but it can also be the most painful form of suffering there is ~

  • @sharingandragon2

Sounds like a dumb move to me. He wouldnt've been such a pissy wang if he'd busted his nut with some other woman.

  • This is the one scene that always makes me cry so hard.

  • this is the best scenes for me!

  • They couldn't have filmed that scene better than this

  • This is the best scene of this movie.

  • @TheAnnamiley Not just that, in my opinion this is the best part of the entire series. This had me in tears when I first saw it, which very few films have been able to do.

  • It's the music that makes this scene for me. God damn.

  • Why did Rowling HAD to kill great characters like Snape and Fred....Why coudn't have they been alive and happily living ???? :(

  • I ALWAYS knew Snape was good from the first book. He was ALWAYS my favorite.

  • At 7:12 you can really tell that severus was hurting emotionally

  • was that aunt petunia as a kid at the beginning when she calls lily a freak?

  • @WrestleCrap97 she looked hot as a kid lol

  • @TheBeachAndTheNelson Hahaha, ok that was funny. But that was kinda wierd, considering she was like 10 years old.

  • @TheBeachAndTheNelson Yep! if you remember from the first movie when Hagrid Brought harry his letter she flat out caled lily a Freak. " my mother and father were so proud when she got her letter. but i wan the only one that saw her for what she was....A freak!"

  • Cried when i saw this in theaters. Snape broke my heart.

  • I cannot stop crying right now.

  • I couldn't stop crying after I saw Snape crying. It broke my heart so much. And the douche James got Lily instead of Snape...so unfair.

  • when i first started reading HP it was really kiddy but then after 7 books it turned into the greatest love story

  • Harry's father was a bit of a prick as a kid :(

  • It's beautiful

  • Dumbledore was cruel in this movie...

  • @SourSweetGone32 It was for, as dumbledore said "the greater good"

  • My God, every time I watch these scenes they kill me!

  • Honestly, I would have no problem with Harry Potter if 99% of the movies wasn't pure boredom. They're like 3-4 hours apiece with good moments sprinkled few and far between, and I don't have the patience or the attention span to look for them through all the boredom.

  • @TheCommunistColin harry potter sends alot of messages through those conversations and it helps to connect the story. you cant make movie like that pure action.

  • @tomislav61 Exactly, I can't follow the story if it's spaced out over the course of eight 3-hour long movies. By the time I get to the end I forget 75% of the plot of the beginning.

  • Live a life as someone who devote themselves to Voldemort is really hard, if they have a pure and nice heart :')

  • MY HEART :C

  • In that moment at the movie i said---> "I think I owe an apology to Snape =C"

  • One of the Best Scenes Ever for me...

  • check out the chubby asian boy!

  • Always.

  • :( poor snape :(

  • Happy B'day Snape Sir..:D :D

  • this makes me cry every freakin time i see it.

  • you know I use to hate snape till I saw his memory :|

  • Happy Birthday Alan Rickman !

  • 2 more dislikes, Crabbe and Goyle?

  • Severus was awesome. RIP.

  • Aww this is so sad..

  • Rip

  • Severus snape the bravest man I ever knew and Albus dumbeldore the greatest wizard of all time

  • my favourite scene *-*♥ Severus Snape♥

  • They could not have made this better...bone-chilling

  • OMG THIS VIDEO IS SO PERFECT!!!

  • I will say that while I'm a little peeved that young Lily doesn't have the same eye color as Harry/Dan, she sort of still has his eyes. The shape of them, the expression in them, especially at 0:24, really remind me of Daniel Radcliffe's eyes. So I can get over them being brown. :)

  • Everyone's talking about how amazing Alan Rickman's performance is, and rightfully so, but that baby who played baby Harry gave an Oscar-worthy performance as well. :)

  • Comment removed

  • I honestly think that snape should have married Lilly

  • I'm so tired of these bloody idiots calling HP a "Gay little pixie movie."

Then I tell them to watch all 8 movies and they are so stubborn and keep dissing it.

They probably never have seen 1 HP movie, or are closet HP fans too afraid to admit it because they don't want to be branded as a "Fag who watches Harry Potter."

  • @chimpanzee243 they probably just watched one of the 3-6 movies and didn't understand shit and sait it was worst movie EVOR.

  • @chimpanzee243 You hit the nail on the head,

  • @chimpanzee243 Oh come on. I love Harry Potter but you have to admit, HP does not nearly get the hate that Twilight gets. None of it is deserved, but either series.

  • @chimpanzee243

This scene is good, but you're a moron; why would someone who expects something to be bad watch 16+ hours of it?

  • 4 dislikes nice try tom, nagini, belatrix, and all the death eaters who want to have one dislike

  • wow this scene actually gives e goosebumps .. classic

  • Fuck James Potter -_- Stupid Bully!!

  • 2:07 Gandalf the Grey?

  • Whos the boy with the hat at 1.25??

  • Lily..

  • Can anyone else hear a heartbeat from 5:35 to 5:38

  • Guys don't hate Dumbledore. Yes he was dishonest but in the book he literally cries and begs Harry for forgiveness when they meet an king's cross

  • @ninjataco817 finally someone who reads the books and understands them!

  • Snape was one of my favorite characters. Up until this scene you didn't know if he was truly good, or truly evil.

  • i can't help but saying it... and i know its random but emma watson is hot

  • This scene was perfect I cried so hard when I read the book and again when I saw the movie. Snape is my FAVORITE

  • "Harry, you have your mother's eyes." LILY'S EYES ARE BROWN IN THIS. HARRY'S ARE GREEN. Nice job.

  • J.K. Rowling blew all of our minds with Snape. He was probably the most misunderstood character in the whole series. For a while there I hated Snape. When I finished the seventh book, I cried for him. Truly an amazing character.

  • Always..

  • Alan Rickman is one of the finest actors on the planet.

  • he was 12 in the begining just like me today IN the 2:55 period snape was cute!

  • @42mj that is wrong thing to say Dumbledore cared deeply about Harry it is just that movie mad him look bad. Snape was most hated profesor at hogwarts because he was quite malicious towards students.

  • you know i really hate dumbledore now. ever since i have seen the last movie i hated him. he has been planing harrys death. snape is the only good professor at hogwarts. RIP severus snape.

  • @42mj there is a diffrence between being good or being kind. dimbledore was good, good for the world. it was the only way. too bad harry had to die for the rest of the world. dumbledore only saw this was the only.

  • @42mj Completely short sighted thing to say..

  • There are no words to describe, how much Snape loves lily. But maybe there is one .. "Always.." ..

  • "Always..."

  • i must say, young snape is so hot..

  • THIS MCGONNAGAL LOOKS THE SAME LIKE SHE IS PRESENTLY

  • Snape lived the most tragic and brave life I've ever seen. He lost the girl he loved to his high school tormentor, then she was killed by the man he once followed, and he spent his life watching over her son who resembled his father for the boy's entire life, and died at the hands of the man who murdered the woman he loved. An incredible and noble character to the very end. RIP Severus Snape.

  • These moments are soo powerful because the 1990s kids grew up with these characters and drama. We are love it and feel with them because we have so to speak become a part of the movie

  • face it

    it's sad

    you had to cry

  • Im not embarrased that i cried when he died at the cinema with my friends

  • I get it, thanks guys! :D

  • rickmans acting is tits

  • What I don;t understand.. When snape talks to dumbledore he casts the patronum. But when Snape's patronum comes to Harry, Dumbledore is dead, right? Because the patonum comes to harry in book 7, en snape cast the spell in book 6.. (does anybody get me?)

  • @Daijwie I checked it up on IMDB.com. It's a patronus, just to show Dumbledore he (still) loves her.

  • @Daijwie he made that patronus during the half blood pribce to show dumbledore he still loved lily. Then after in deathly hallows he sent one to help harry find the gryffindor sword. it wasn't the same one

  • @Daijwie Alright, so the patronum that Snape cast in Dumbledor's office was a sample of his. Just a sample and it disappeared. The patronum that appeared in the forest is also Snapes patronum. Snape literally hid the sword of Godwrick (sp?) in the lake and used his patronum in the forest to lead Harry to the lake.

Or to simplify it, Snape was in the forest and used patronum.

  • @PoaTB so snape saved harry?

  • @PoaTB so snape saved harry? also why did dumbldore say lily, after all this time?

  • @42mj Snape was protecting harry and Dumbledore said Lily, after all this time? because he was surprised that even after all those years he still loved her

  • @PoaTB Read the book and you will find that Snape's patronum is also Lily's patronum.

  • He can cast more than one patronum

  • @iKarnezar not true. after extreme emotional distress, a person can actually change their patronus unwillingly. same happened to tonks (if i remember correctly) her patronus changed because she was in love remus lupin. in this case, snapes patronus changed completely to show his love to lilly, whose patronus happened to be a doe.

  • That's not what I meant. Snape was shown to cast a patronus while Dumbledore was alive, and then his patronus showed up again in the forest when Harry was searching for the sword. They were not the same, though.

  • young snape looks like brandon lee in the crow

  • Ohkay, I admit it, I cried like a baby at this part, and Ima dude, and I'm proud of it

  • i cried and i wasnt embarassed to show it

  • I played a Slytherin in a summer camp and we went to watch the movie together and I promise anyone. I have never been happier to seen Snape than after the movie was finnish.

  • crying. actually crying. i don't care.

  • Press 1 for Spring has sprung, press 2 for clapping, stares and introductions, press 3 for what they should to the twilight saga, press 4 for spoiler of the ending of the movie, 5 for a deep voice telling you you work too hard, 6 for dumbledore's death, 7 for Lily's and Dumbledore's farewell, 8, for you've been raising him like a pig for slaughter, 9 for always

  • And here I am, crying.

  • Am I the only one who hated the fact that Lily has brown eyes and not blue like Harry's in the film ? The girl who plays Lily as a child is beautiful and all but when Snape said "You have your mothers eyes" all I was thinking was Lol, no he doesn't !

  • what was the deer for?

  • @elhae2 it presented his love towards Lily since they have same patronus and it was shape who showed harry way to godric sword

  • @tomislav61 but if they had the same patronus then how did dumbledor know it was lilly?

  • @steph4691 i dont understand what yo meant "it was liliy"? it only shown snape Dedication and love towards Lily. he loved her even after all those years and did everything to show that her death was not in vain

  • 2:27 onwards I broke down in tears; it's really sad...

  • 2 dislikes? Nice try Tom. You too Nagini

  • when Snape said "always" that moment you cried like a baby. me too bro

  • 2 persons are fucked up not to like the best chapter / scene of all HP books / movies... :O

  • when you walk away i count the steps that you take, dont you see how much i need you right now?? when your gone~ the pieces of my heart is missing you~

    S166, missing you.

  • Severus Snape: The greatest wizard to come out of Slytherin

  • Wtf? Petunia being scared of Snape? Pfff, only when he uses accidental magic on her.

  • This scene alone deserve's Oscar!

Those Oscar people see Harry potter as a teen movie.

I wish they know what we went through and our journey!

Fuck them for stabbing this epic movie!

  • @Adarshdravid I totally agree, and if not the whole scene Alan should have got the best supporting Oscar!! Those people at the Academy don't know what good acting or movies are!!

  • after all these years of reading the story and watching the film adaptations it still gets to me everytime, the emotion in it all, and the music at the last bit just tops it off nicely.. brilliant ;)

  • i like crying everytime i see this i wouldnt have left him for james anyway r.i.p sverus snape you shall never be forgotten

  • I love this scene very much. Unfortunately it doesn’t give a right picture of both Dumbledore and Snape, it’s too condensed.. Only when you read this chapter of the book can you fully grasp the whys and the hows... When the movie ended I was left with many questions.. Dumbledore seemed too “cold” all of a sudden and Snape, too sweet to be true.. and why did Lily go with James.. There are many more nuances to the story.. Read the book people!! :)

  • Legacy of friendzone

  • The fuck disliked this???

  • @urloldude probably 1948sketch he thinks Snape was always the bad guy

  • @urloldude Voldemort and James Potter

  • Wonderful

  • I love that scene. But it makes me cry. I love how Snape loved Lilly all this time. It's so sad but i can't stop loving Harry potter. Severus turns me on for some reason and I think it's because of that scene.

  • crying. forever. and ever. always.

  • Reminds me of Itachi, just a bit.

  • The thing that made Snape my favourite out of all the rest without a doubt was that ever since he changed sides he never cared at all about good or bad it was because his love for Lilly was stronger than anything.

  • Dumbledore:Lily, after all this time?

    Snape: Always.

That one word changed most of the worllds opinion about Snape.

R.I.P Severus Snape, the bravest man Harry Potter ever knew.

  • well......i cried....er........i guess 7:24 minutes or longer :D best scene in the movie <3

  • Poor Snape :(...I'm glad I didn't see this in the movies, I would have been crying and probably embaressed myself. T_T And what was it that Snape had to give Dumbledoor in exchange for his help?

  • @MSTPurple112 isnt it obvious Dumbledor wanted Snape to spy on Voldemort

  • Comment removed

  • @MSTPurple112 He was asked to do everything in his power to protect Harry (and the students of Hogwarts) as he was growing up. I think this scene is too condensed and doesn’t picture Dumbledore nor Snape right. There are so many nuances to the story that we don’t see here. And some parts of this scene are misleading. You should read the book. ;)

  • @guntherbladderburst Thank you for telling me :). ( and thank you to everyone else who answered my question :) ) And I shall read the book...well, books, once I'm able too buy them without getting in trouble >.>

  • @MSTPurple112 Sex? LOL jk jk He became a double agent

  • damn i feel like i should apologize to snape right about now i feel like crying!!!

  • @berneckutis I think it's called "Dumbledore's farewell"

  • Can someone please tell me, what's the namo of the song, which starts at 5:00?

  • Face it. J.K. Rowling mindfucked us ALL with Snape.

  • @AVjamer u got that right i think if jk wanted to be a criminal she has mind for it

  • @AVjamer When I read book five I told all my friends, I think Snape loved Lily, and they told me I was crazy. He didn't love Lily. And then I had my justice in book seven. :)

  • 2:45 and 6:50 is my fav rickman parts :]

  • Much more than "Always" I prefer this moment 2:43 - Rickman played like a boss.

  • My Favorite part in all of the books and movies.....SNAPE

  • @killer20682 yeah Harry's sons name is James Sirius and the other ones name is Albus Severus

  • It always gets me D:

  • Harry's son has the middle name severus right. I thought it was serous is that how its spelled remember serous black

  • @killer20682 it’s Sirius Black ;)

  • Severus WAS GONNA BE HARRY'S DAD!

  • I first saw this with my Girlfriend, and I cried harder than she did.

  • @hmetal888 And then she buttfucked you with a giant strap-on.

  • poor Snape T_T his memories made me cry

  • "Yes..yes... he must die" and then the music begins.

No no i will not cried not cried... too late ^^

  • Why did the expecto partonum thing from Sevurus go to Harry in this video?

  • @motorez1 My explanation will be a little long. Those are two separate events. Snape's patronous doesn't go to Harry while he is talking to Dumbledore. When Severus shows his patronous to Dumbledore, he does it to show him that he still loves Lily (Lily's patronous was also a Doe) and that all he's done is in her memory. So when Dumbledore asks "After all this time?" Snape answers "Always" (he will always love her).

  • @motorez1 Now, the editing of the memories is not the best in my opinion. They try to show a very small fraction of Snape's memories and tie them to what's happened in other movies to help those who have not read the books understand but, I think, they have confused people more than help. They show when Harry sees the doe in part 1 to let people know that it was Snape who delivered the Sword of Gryffindor to Harry (Harry didn't know who had until he saw Snape's memories). Hope this helps.

  • whats the song called at the beginning

  • i love this scene !!
