@MizzMishkas It's because; the spirit form in the very beginning is not Amidamaru, It is Mosuke the craftsman. and yes, Yoh may "always" be with Amidamaru, but in the second episode it took the fusion of Mosuke and Yoh, to recreate the Sword of Light to solidify Yoh and Amidamaru's unbreakable bond.

@mrjmnzmyn Sometimes its a licensing issue. Not "we couldn't get the music rights", but "we'd rather not pay for the music rights". And whoever from 4Kids get the royalty money from when this theme/score airs.

It's also a control issue. When you compose your own score, you never have to worry about rights expiring.

The problem is that this is "not" the original theme. I only say "not" since this is slightly faster then the original theme, making it sound like it is Yoh's English VO. Not saying it isn't, but it just sounds like it because of the higher bpm of the song compared to the original.
