Garmin GPS with Active Compass have a Menu for calibrate the Compass it self...and calibrate the compass is easy...

only difference I see is one is navigating you to a waypoint and the other is not. They (Garmin) recommend to calibrate the compass with each use.

they are reading wrong because you have them right next to each other idiot. Try reading the directions. Specifically says having it next to something that puts off a magnetic field will cause it to give an inaccurate reading.
