For the record, yes this is infact a knife intended for divers in the event you're attacked by a predator, as a burst of Co2 underwater while stabbed into something will cause a freezing efffect inside the would.
Also for everyone asking you can usually buy then in most large sporting good stores or places that sell scuba equipment.
@Psychoticilluzions No, I watched that before I saw Bang from Law and Order: SVU. I think this was on the list of toughest blades where the katana was number one, I'm not sure, but it was cool when the guy injected the CO2 into the other guy during the fight.
The gallagher guy and his big hammer are waaaaay better at destroying watermelons than this. Maybe you should try a smaller fruit like an orange and then work your way up to the adult fruits.
abarth821 it's actually a lot easier to stab a fighting opponent then you think...but I personally wouldn't use this, cool concept though. O and some of the greatest inventions of the world have been created by Americans.
i could slice it neater befor you got that out of your pocket. knives = time to deploy + if I stuck a knife in you you would already be dead - this is like building a bullet that explodes inside the head (that said I want one)
@19thSFGA He's supposed to be wearing a diver suit. The knife is marketed as a shark killing tool, so apparently they thought dressing people as divers would add authenticity or something.
@thedarkdomino Why not? If you want to blow up watermelons in a very expensive way, this knife won't let you down. Just because you don't want to use expensive means to blow up watermelons, it doesn't mean no else want to.
Idiot. It's used by hunters to kill sharks and bears. If you harpoon or stab a shark, it releases blood into the water...which attracks more sharks. When you use this knife on a large shark, it ruptures all of their organs and insides without releasing too much blood. It's apparently very effective for hunting sharks. Think and research before you show how little of a clue that you have.

As for the price learn a little tool making before you complain about it. I have half the hours for a tool and die maker certification and I still have no idea how he drills a hole the length of a 6 inch or longer blade with out the drill walking and coming out the side. The first time I held one I was stunned to find out the hole was drilled. It really is impressive and in a few more months its holiday season and I'll get to see the knives again Merry Christmas to all.
The one in the wet suit is my little cousin the other my uncle. Iv seen the development of the knife for over 5 years now. It did originate from my uncle being a diver but has become much more they even have made the military k bar versions. As for its effectiveness the barb is about an inch maybe less from the tip so you do not need much penetration to kill someone. The gas instantly freezes the area and air in the blood stream is quite fatal. Iv seen the thank you letters 10th mountain inf.
@ericpkedyou1 it's mainly for scuba divers (that's why the guy in the video is in a wetsuit). if a diver was being threatened by a shark, stabbing it with this knife would make it float to the surface and kill it without releasing any blood to attract other predators.
Make a bayonet(or spear/harpoon for scuba..) version- where the gas release button is located on a hilt, so when it is rammed into an enemy the gas is immediately released. Could probably have military applications. The scuba version(for shark attacks and whatnot) could be mounted on a short pole(1-2 feet or so)-more reach and faster administration of the gas. Maybe even a spring powered ballistic(think Hawaiian fish spear) defense harpoon for scuba even. There are so many possibilities.
forgot to add... maybe if the co2 canister was 5x bigger and released all the gas in one shot ... it may bring down a bear, what ever the outcome it won't be pretty.
me to svu that's funny shit. you can get one for about 400$. if you stab someone in the head or heart... there done. made for underwater where there is already high pressure, stab a shark bye bye. don't really think I will do much to a bear other than piss it off and fill it's gut with your flesh.
Just saw this knife on the new SVU episode that just aired. They demo'd the knife using a large fish and explained it was developed for the Navy SEALS or something like that. On the show it was the murder weapon, obviously.
@feliperamedeiros You ever get attacked by a shark while scuba diving just plunge this bad boy into it's face and he/she will let go and most likely die a painful death.
"Have you ever seen a doctor administer an injection. Before injecting the medicine into the patient, the doctor makes sure to remove all air bubbles. Why? Because a bubble the size of a BB can cause a blockage and kill you.

@ohmygoditsyomamma cookie would be nice, thanks...how thoughtful. I was starting to think there were only angry kids and flamers on the internet. Thank god for nice guys like you.
@Duerala this knife was designed for use on fish and sharks, so the reason why the handle doesn't have a very ergonomic grip is because if you were scuba diving you would probably have gloves on, which gives you extra grip, and you move slower underwater. there is also another version of the knife with a serrated section. i don't understand what you're complaining about exactly, this knife was not really intended for land mammals.
@KurtBlanken I understand that, I was merely expressing my wish to see this concept put to use in other applications as well. It would make a great self defense concept for example since no matter where you stick it, it'll do major damage to any assailant (fatal in most cases).
@fifa405 you need to get your facts right, fish and mammals are two different classes on animals. mammals breath air, fish have blood rich gills which they use todiffuse oxygen out of the water which passes through them.
@TGSSUCKS I disagree considering sharks aren't mammals, they are fish. why not just say " It was made for defence for scuba divers against hostile sea creatures like sharks"?
@Duerala You my good chum sound like a virgin who plays too much call of duty. Its a knife for survival use, animals and mostly for use under water. You need to be a diver to use it, not that excercise is somthing you probably get.
If you knew about REAL millitery procedures you'd discover its unethical and illigal once you stick a gas propelling weapon in someone, even green gass or CO2, it counts as "Chemical warfare" which is SLIGHTLY illigal. Real militery personel are laughing at you.
ok this knife is a diving knife? Are you fucking kidding me? A diver who would actually want to kill a shark by blowing up it's internal ograns does not deserve to have the privilege of sharing the underwater world with those magnificent creatures :/
@1SavageMiss I would like for you to be in the ocean with sharks and "share the underwater world" with these "magnificent" creatures. It is only common sense that the diver should, if the misfortune of having a shark attracted to you, kill it and blow its insides up as awesomely and efficiently as possible. :p
@roflrandomguy I am underwater with them every weekend, douche :) It's not common sense, it's retarded. No true diver would ever harm a marine creature. Period.
@1SavageMiss you're not one of those PETA fanatics are you? I'm simply saying if they needed to kill them they could atleast kill them efficiently. Sharks, and others can and will kill you given some kind of circumstance, and if it came to that should i just sit there and get ripped by rows of teeth? No, you KILL the motherfucker.
@roflrandomguy lmao, no dude I'm not a PETA freak. Yeah I get what you saying I just don't agree with killing them. It's their ocean, and we have to respect that. Most of us dive with conservation in mind. We carry knives to free us from entanglement in fishing lines etc.
CHILDREN IN AFRICA ARE STARVING! And this is what you do, you squander precious food over advertising! Every year 15 million children die of hunger. Maybe you should be grateful you have that watermelon and that knife. Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger and maybe you could save a child just by donating 50 cents to children in Africa. Think about humanity and the children. All it takes is just a small amount of money to save a child suffering from starvation.
@DarkArmedDuelist101 what i am? i'm human, is this enough? but you are right, capitolism kills. ;-) a wast amount of food is produced just to get thrown away, only to satisfy greedy people and their addiction to money. again, try thinking!
@guned6666 Most of us are humans. And there is greed, sure, but it isn't why most Africans are starving. They cut themselves off, only having contact with richer nations when they were trading slaves? Are they any more? No, they have nothing to trade, and they can't develop. So what if capitolists waist food for money? I have a feeling you're an anarchist.
@DarkArmedDuelist101 i would like to ask you something. if i would take my mauser k98 and shoot some cinder blocks to rubble, am i to blame for all those poor people beeing homeless? again, try thinking! by the way, what are you?
@DarkArmedDuelist101 i'm glad there is still hope. ;-) it's just the same as someone wasting one melon is not responsible for starving children in africa. equal opportunity? where can you see that? but you are right, they can't eat opportunity. they do have something to trade, enough to feed every child, but everything gets stolen by a few greede people. even their own hard work gets stolen. feeding them with care packets does not help anybody. maybe now, but for the long term? and whom?
@guned6666 Before you try to continue an intellectual arguement, learn to spell. Capitolism is built on trade and services. That's why it's so successful. Africans have made so little development because all they ever contributed were slaves and mineral resources.
@DarkArmedDuelist101 maybe i'm not spelling it right, but your historical knowledge is questionable. are you sure they actually have just slaves and minerals for trade? do they need trade at all to feed every child?
@guned6666 No, but they don't have fertile land to grow enough food. Middle Africa is dead space and desert. Maybe they traded other crap, but they were major for slave trade.
@DarkArmedDuelist101 what i am? i'm human, is this enough? but you are right, capitolism kills. ;-) a wast amount of food is produced just to get thrown away, only to satisfy greedy people and their addiction to money. again, try thinking!
I'm a diver just look at my YouTube videos and I have never seen a knife like this diving I do carry a knife but it for cutting out fishing line or any thing else I might get tangled in
I think it would be hard to use this to devastating effect on a human. I assume you have to hold it quite hard into the object while releasing the gas. Otherwise I imagine the knife would shoot out of the wound from the force released.
If you had a person in a situation where you could hold them into the knife long enough to do the co2 injection. You were probably already in a position to be able to kill them anyways.
<3 <3 <3 nice! but why the wetsuit?

@Duerala You my good chum sound like a virgin who plays too much call of duty. Its a knife for survival use, animals and mostly for use under water. You need to be a diver to use it, not that excercise is somthing you probably get.
If you knew about REAL millitery procedures you'd discover its unethical and illigal once you stick a gas propelling weapon in someone, even green gass or CO2, it counts as "Chemical warfare" which is SLIGHTLY illigal. Real militery personel are laughing at you.

What is a knife like that used for?
funnycatsvid 7 months ago
ok this knife is a diving knife? Are you fucking kidding me? A diver who would actually want to kill a shark by blowing up it's internal ograns does not deserve to have the privilege of sharing the underwater world with those magnificent creatures :/
1SavageMiss 7 months ago
@1SavageMiss I would like for you to be in the ocean with sharks and "share the underwater world" with these "magnificent" creatures. It is only common sense that the diver should, if the misfortune of having a shark attracted to you, kill it and blow its insides up as awesomely and efficiently as possible. :p
roflrandomguy 7 months ago
@roflrandomguy I am underwater with them every weekend, douche :) It's not common sense, it's retarded. No true diver would ever harm a marine creature. Period.
1SavageMiss 7 months ago
@1SavageMiss you're not one of those PETA fanatics are you? I'm simply saying if they needed to kill them they could atleast kill them efficiently. Sharks, and others can and will kill you given some kind of circumstance, and if it came to that should i just sit there and get ripped by rows of teeth? No, you KILL the motherfucker.
roflrandomguy 7 months ago

All it takes is just a small amount of money to save a child suffering from starvation.
aspottedcheetta 7 months ago
@aspottedcheetta i bet you are some fat guy / woman that have never starved.
and this is about the knife, not the food.

@guned6666 Capitolism kills if you spell it right, What are you anyways? Communist? Socialist? Fascist?
DarkArmedDuelist101 7 months ago
@DarkArmedDuelist101 what i am? i'm human, is this enough? but you are right, capitolism kills. ;-) a wast amount of food is produced just to get thrown away, only to satisfy greedy people and their addiction to money. again, try thinking!
guned6666 7 months ago
@guned6666 Most of us are humans. And there is greed, sure, but it isn't why most Africans are starving. They cut themselves off, only having contact with richer nations when they were trading slaves? Are they any more? No, they have nothing to trade, and they can't develop. So what if capitolists waist food for money? I have a feeling you're an anarchist.
DarkArmedDuelist101 7 months ago
@DarkArmedDuelist101 i would like to ask you something. if i would take my mauser k98 and shoot some cinder blocks to rubble, am i to blame for all those poor people beeing homeless? again, try thinking! by the way, what are you?
guned6666 7 months ago
@guned6666 How as that related? Besides, Capitolism is equal oppertunity.
DarkArmedDuelist101 7 months ago
@DarkArmedDuelist101 i'm glad there is still hope. ;-) it's just the same as someone wasting one melon is not responsible for starving children in africa. equal opportunity? where can you see that? but you are right, they can't eat opportunity. they do have something to trade, enough to feed every child, but everything gets stolen by a few greede people. even their own hard work gets stolen. feeding them with care packets does not help anybody. maybe now, but for the long term? and whom?
guned6666 7 months ago
@guned6666 Before you try to continue an intellectual arguement, learn to spell. Capitolism is built on trade and services. That's why it's so successful. Africans have made so little development because all they ever contributed were slaves and mineral resources.
DarkArmedDuelist101 7 months ago
@DarkArmedDuelist101 maybe i'm not spelling it right, but your historical knowledge is questionable. are you sure they actually have just slaves and minerals for trade? do they need trade at all to feed every child?
guned6666 7 months ago
@guned6666 No, but they don't have fertile land to grow enough food. Middle Africa is dead space and desert. Maybe they traded other crap, but they were major for slave trade.

Imagine using that on Justin Biebers head?... ;D
kingnadim10 8 months ago
I think it would be hard to use this to devastating effect on a human. I assume you have to hold it quite hard into the object while releasing the gas. Otherwise I imagine the knife would shoot out of the wound from the force released.
If you had a person in a situation where you could hold them into the knife long enough to do the co2 injection. You were probably already in a position to be able to kill them anyways.
