  • Great sound but too quiet in this vid.

  • Do want.

  • Are you double clutching to 2nd? and why? I'm looking at a GTV6 i want so badly, but i dont have much money, and it's grinding when you shift to second.. i'm wondering if it's worth the buy.. i've wrenched before on a couple different vehicles, the closest i've been to gearing is inside of a differential.. Do you think swapping a 2nd gear out of the tranny is a big deal? or synchro, or whatever is in there? any help is appreciated.

  • best sounding V-6 EVER.

glitz crowd can hav e thier ferraris but alfa's are more fun and less cosly to maintain and drive.

Ill take GTV-6 Montreal. GTV 2000. 2600 coupe.giulietta veloce spider,, veloce coupe.

  • WOW dude!

  • I miss my 1982 GTV6 Balocco. Hmmm...

  • alot more affordable,

and i think fun than a Ferrari. alot less mantenence too.

    simpler to work on too.

    Viva Alfa!!!!!1

  • come cambi di merda

  • @Sussudio1000 Noooo invece cambia benissimo.

  • No Other V-6 in history I can think of sound's as GOOD as the GTV-6 Alfa,

  • @kirkconway

    Amen to that,

    totally.

  • I think you are confusing double clutch shifting with a dual mass flywheel. I don't think any older (US market) alfa's had a dual mass flywheel, as those are typically found in larger displacement slower revving engines. Double clutching refers to engaging the clutch while the transmission is in neutral between shifts to match the input shaft speed to the output shaft to avoid grinding in non-synchro transmissions, or to aid driving in fragile or older transmissions, like these gtv's have.

  • whats the 0 - 60?

  • What is with the Pep Boys shift knob? Not good.

  • @djaca70 Actually it's a Momo aluminum race knob, which I had turned on a lathe to accept a brass and enamel Alfa Romeo Cloisonne in the top center.

It is far better than the original molded plastic one. Good eye, though - you were almost right!

  • Nice 1-2 double clutch! Save the synchros!

  • @fiatman71 don't all manual alfa's have a double clutch? I know the spiders have double clutches, and there expensive to replace ( $1,000.00 USD ).

  • And, now i have to change my pants....!!

  • This car is now gone - but keep your eyes open for other Alfa footage.

  • @racingswim2006 Why did you get rid of it? To much trouble?

  • @21brian12 Not at all. It was a great car. Didn't have space for it at the time.

  • keep 'em coming!
