  • i wish you all the best

  • Sorry to hear of your issues. I had a mesh wrapped around my stomach. Perhaps the Lupus had complicated things? I haven't any problems with it myself. That's awful what you had to go through.

  • Sorry to hear of your suffering... Those who've not suffered much rarely have understand. So many people suffer at the hands of doctors, despite many who may mean well and do help.

A book that I'd keep by my bed if I was suffering and dying would be Full Catastrophe Living. I don't sell it or anything, but it deals with some of the toughest situations life can throw at us. Chronic pain drops us down. See through it if for even a moment. Find some bliss despite it all. Best wishes for you...

  • hey gretta, never give up! i'm not a doctor and i'm not prescribing anything. Look into a raw food diet; i've seen videos about people's illnesses (even cancers) going away. maybe join a support group so you can feel some comfort and sympathy. good luck!!!!!!!

  • I`ve had this operation and am documenting my recovering on YouTube. To be honest its not that bad and I seem to recovering quickly. I had no problems with my mesh

  • Hey @grettagrids I totally know how bad you must feel. In 2009 I was in an accident and I have had 3 mesh surgeries and the last one was a Bio mesh. I am in constant pain with no medication. After the mesh implants I started having problems with my thyroid, blood pressure you name it. I wish I would have seen your video before now. Hang in there and thank you for the post people need to know. Maybe all make a video.

  • Were you diagnosed with lupus before you had the mesh implant or after you had the mesh implant?

  • @Alphadog4life I was diagnosed two yrs after the mesh :( surgery was laparoscopic but still have a HUGE scar there which is painful with cold.

  • @grettagrids I was diagnosed with lupus after I had my hernia mesh implanted. The symptoms of lupus were full blown two years after the surgery but was unable to confirm until this past year.

  • people....valdezmiguel2 is a friggin troll and BLOCKED.. do not respond to him... check out the comments on his channel for yourself... a miserable internet bully trolling sick people and leaving horrible comments on one cancer surviver's vids:(

  • maybe you coudl try losing some weight, you dumb fuck.

  • @valdezmiguel2 you don't know my health problems so STFU!

  • @grettagrids I can determine at least a few problems with just this video... namely: obesity, and related illnesses.

  • @valdezmiguel2 do you know anything about LUPUS,UC or endocrine(thyroid) problems? STOP DIAGNOSING ME! you are NOT my specialist. he has many yrs of training and has ran the tests, not you.

  • @grettagrids I know that thyroid problems are usually enraged by poor diet and lack of physical activity. dumb cunt. you are killing yourself slowly. you might as well just kill yourself quickly.

  • SORRY to hear this but keep a positive attitude please. Things can get better

  • Thank you. I am 26 wks pregnant and trying to make a decision. Although it may be better to just wait and hopefully it will pop in after birth. Also, have you been tested for Lyme? I saw a documentary called, Under Our Skin that explains how so unknown diseases are simply symptoms of Lyme including MS, lupus, Alzheimers and list goes on. Test for it, but it may take more than once to find that bacteria. And not all doctors are supportive to long term Lyme treatment as you will see in the movie.

  • Is it all mesh or certain type only? Well dont give up! keep a positive attitude! Research a different doctor, but dont give up! Good luck hope things work out! God bless!!!

  • I just had mesh put in my umbilical hernia, I'm 5'10 165lbs, it's going on day three so too early to give input. But I feel no pain just a little sore I was walking on a treadmill day two, & Monday day three I'm back to work

  • Was yours laparascopic? I've heard that's actually more invasive in a lot of ways and can cause more problems. Also, do you think your obesity complicated things more than would normally have been the case? Thanks for sharing!

  • Too bad, but I've read complications are rare.

  • I should say also that obviously i'm not a doctor, just saw your video and after reading what i read about the backing soda thing, i felt obligated to pass it on. Also vitamin D is supposed to help as well...and cutting out meats and sugars and stuff like that.

  • Try half a teaspoon of baking soda twice a day in half a glass of water for lupus...it makes the body alkaline which cuts down on inflammation a lot from what i just read. I wish you well...hang in there....

  • true but too late i wish i was inform earlier : (

  • I'm one weeks out from my hernia surgery and mine doesn't look right . It's too folded up , and very stiff around the area, like a rock underneath my skin. . Did yours change any or stay the same? Please let me know. Thanks. Alex

  • @ninaco11 yes mine migrated and bunched up.

  • I have two hernia meshes, i only have minor problems, it doesnt hurt but it feels wierd.

  • you are RIGHT about that. But MESHES can be a big problem,so I wanted to let people know. Even perfectly healthy people have had problems with these.

  • @grettagrids I agree

  • The lupus will only kill you IF you let it!! I don't know what doctor told you that lie. It isn't like cancer where they can predict the time it takes to kill someone. It's different for everyone. It can be nasty but not always fatal. Lupus is NOT and I repeat NOT always fatal. Please don't spread false things about a lupus diagnosis. People need hope not fear. Love not pity!! Believe you will live and heal and you will!!
