  • christ being that muscly is scary

    no thanks

  • Another book thats goes great with Body for Life is Eatting for Life as well itll answer a lot of your questions and show you great recipies from dinners to snacks as well as protien shakes.. its great!! Give it a try being healthy is a life style change that pays in the long run!!

  • ok... AM kinny... what should i do to muscle up??

  • Just thought id leave a comment eating six times a day keeps your metabolism going it doesn't increase it exercise is what increases your metabolism and mainly when you gain lean muscle mass cardio doesnt really increase metabolism that much.

  • way too self critical, you look great,

  • you need to work on your traps lmao

  • I wanna try Body for Life...

    Although, I'm 15

  • The other good thing, is his excessive program. In particular, his emphasis on pushing it as hard as possible.

A lot of people just come to the gym and half ass it and expect to bulk up or lose weight. If you are not pushing yourself you are wasting your time.

  • now that i have criticized him, i can add a few things that i do like about it.

    2 things come to mind:

    1. He constantly emphasizes the important of having proper nutrition. Personally, i think this high metastability is crap, the nutrition is whats important. by making sure that you eat veg, fruits, proteins, and carbs you are guaranteed to get tons of nutrients that your body needs to be healthy and perform at a high lvl. Fat actually protects us in many ways from crappy diets.

  • @Crazylalalalala

crap, meant to say metabolism not metastability. Damn firefox spell checker.

Over all i would recommended it. i have lost 6 pounds in two weeks by only just loosely fallowing it. He also has good motivational materials in his book.

  • the 6 meals thing... well all he does there is adding a snack to your regular 3 meals. If you think about it having a full serving of meat, veg, fruit, dairy, and carbs is actually a lot of food.i have done it and it takes a while to chow down on all that. So to simplify it and instead of having a FEAST 3 times a day have 3 regular meals and 3 snacks. a serving of carb, meat, veg as a regular meal, then a serving of dairy, fruit as a snack.

  • second, his nutrition plan is no different then the govt standard. but he does have a neat way to simplify it.

what he does is combine the meat and the dairy of the govt plan into a protein group and the fruit and veg to a fruit and veg group and he renames the grains to carbohydrates to sound more official. so from 5 groups to 3. which is a good idea to simply things.

  • There was a Borders closing near my home so i went it and found a copy of body for life on sale. This was a few days after seeing this video so i decided to test it out.

one thing that really pissed me off is that his 6 times a day meals consists drinking HIS nutrition shake that you have to buy on his website for 3 of the meals. kinda lost credibility with me a little.

  • Furthermore, weight loss is caused by calories burned being greater than calories eaten in a certain amount of time. The composition of that weight loss (Muscle, fat, and water loss) is determined by your macronutrient profile (What percentages of protein, carbohydrate, and dietary fat), physical activity, and genetics (Yup. Some people are just genetically predisposed to being jacked. Sorry :x)

  • Eating 6 times a day to increase metabolism is what is bad science. What Bill is referring to with his whole 6 miles spread out deal is that ingestion of food actually causes calorie burn vie what is called the Thermogenic Effect of Food. In short, the Thermogenic Effect of Food is not caused by meal frequency, but total calorie digestion. A single 3000 calorie meal a day burns the same amount of calories thermogenically as six 500 calorie meals.

  • Wow, you do look like a cadaver.

  • I got the book, and I live in Finland (Europe)

  • ok, so like everyone else I thought the photos were fake, but after looking closely (I know scary) I believe you, only because I can see your freckles in the same spots. I think if the lighting were a little different (better) the transition may have been more believable. Crazy that you did that in just 3 months. Good for you, and keep up the good work on the videos. My favorites are your grammar one and the TSA one - good stuff.

  • I'm in europe. Is Body for Life a e-book too?

  • Body for Life sounds like it has similar ideals behind it that P90X does, although I'm sure it came first.

  • Looks a lot better before than after/10

  • when i saw the after picture i lol'd so hard xD

  • You know.. I think I actually prefer the before pictures

  • I just google'd urine therapy. do a show on that lol

  • he is sexy!

  • Yay Body-For-Life!!!

  • wait am I the only who doesnt think the pictures are real, and are just a joke?

  • And drink plenty of water. LOTS OF WATER. A LOT OF WATER... not all at once. You'll die... If you're stupid enough to drink 3 liters of water all at once... you deserve to die.

But, drink 3 liters of water a day. Throughout the day. Like .5liters with every meal. 6 meals a day with .5 liters a water with each meal... your metabolism will go WOOHOO!!! KAPOW!!! BAM!!!! BYE BYE BODY FAT!!

    And... you'll win life.

  • Hello Mr,

I would like to know which part did you follow in his program getting "Lean&Tone" or "Lean&Strong"

I'm about to start so I want to buy some stuff from EAS

    What could you advice me?

    Sincerely....

  • omg lol

  • I am on day 2 of body for life! I just had a baby, and boy did I get fat. I'm a super health nut, so I thought it would be easy to gain the right amount of weight, but little did I know that I would only be able to eat spaghetti and orange juice for 9 months. I weigh 160 when I should weigh about 115...YIKES!! Any tips would be great! I checked out your sight, but I couldn't find what you were talking about.....And by the way, I'm whiter than you, so don't feel too bad....

  • I'm a woman tried BFL...Amazing results! Completely recommend it for everyone, no matter what level of fitness you are. The reason it works is because it's COMMON SENSE! Which, in the era of low carb diets, veggie only diets, and miracle pills...really isn't so common anymore. Just don't get Phillip's new Transformation book. All common sense flew out the window and was replaced by Bill Phillips floating on a buddha cloud. You resemble a young Bill Phillips, actually.

  • i'm six weeks into the body for life program. after seeing no visible progress at all, in the last two weeks i've dropped two trouser sizes, i now feel i'm rapidly losing weight.

    has anyone else experienced this?

  • @tendaisitima2 You have to remember that your body is your body, and results are different from person to person.

Start watching your weight closely if you are worried you're losing too much too fast.

If that's the case, consult a physician to be on the safe side.

  • Okay but can somebody give me a diet sample of what you actually mean when you say to eat 6 times a day? i mean for one day to know how it looks like

  • @cypts1 You eat small portions of protein and carbohydrates with each meal. Both about the size of your fist. Then you add a serving a vegetables or fruits to 2 of your 6 meals.

  • @locksmithite Okay, but what if i don't want to take any supplements/meal replacements myoplex and whey stuff because i get bloated and blah blah and i stick to food only, that means i have to eat this: (meat/fish/eggs/dairy + whole grains + Vegetables/fruits)= 1 meal but for 6 times during the day (every 2 and a half hrs) with the portion control suggested. But this seems a bit weird to me and will i succeed like others have had with this?

  • @cypts1 The supplements are optional but not required. Buy the book "Eating for Life" and he'll give you alot of eating suggestions.

  • thanks dude......that really motivated me.......got the copy of the book.....ready to go

  • too bad i can't eat 6 times a day! i only really eat once a day maybe even twice but no more than that because my stomach gets upset real fast after i finish eating, i don't want to be going to the toilet 6 times a day! i mean it's annoying just going twice a day!

  • Dear

I used to work out wrong way back in 2008 and I got hernia and had surgery in July 2009.

Still sometimes I feel some pain ....But I got plumpy now, and I really hate it....What do you suggest? Shall I start working out?

  • Thats NOT real is it?! 2:30?!

  • i was wondering the same but he looks great if it's real *resists urge to touch muscles*

  • Yeah those after pictures are creepy.

  • alley gatter? :P or alligator. xD

  • PHOTOSHOP!!!!

  • oh no way? i mean he doesnt explain it in the video

  • What? He wasn't fat before, why is he feeling bad about his body in the before pictures?

  • I try to slow down my metabolism and eat fewer calories? I hope that is the way to go. :)

  • I've heard that by slowing down your metabolism you actually gain weight, because you'll burn more calories with a more active metabolism

  • yes but I also try to eat fewer calories

  • I know, but I don't know how healthy that is... but anyway I'm no expert and I wish you the best of luck ^^

  • Why would you do this?

  • I would like to find ways to slow down the aging process and staying healthy.

  • I was ashamed to take my shirt off in the locker room at the gym. I even pulled my towel up high to cover my love handles as I walked to the shower. About week 8 I was on my way to the shower and I looked in the mirror and said "damn" outloud. Luckily no one was around! So yeah, this program is pretty much foolproof. If you can't do this simple program, there is no hope for you.

  • I like the Body for Life program because it makes sense and it makes efficient use of my time. But results seem to vary wildly by individual. I'm in my 9th week now and look and feel better (but not dramatically) and have gained almost 10 pounds. Many exercise programs promise dramatic results in "just a few weeks," and if you believe that, I have some good swampland for sale.

  • HAVE YOU STAYED WITH THE PLAN? wHAT ARE YOUR RESULTS NOW.

  • Fantastic!

  • On week 10 of Body for Life. Yeah the last week or so I haven't been 'perfect' in my eating but let's look at before and after.

    Before=189.7 pounds.

    After= 173.6 as of week 10.

Plus I've gotten my wife to say I look in shape and also got my wife mad at me for having other women turn their heads at me (yep, both true!)

So if you don't think you can do 12 weeks of eating 6 times a day or weight training 3 times a week I'm here to say, only if you want to. I did it, you can too.

  • can you tell me what you ate on the program, don't you have to cut your calories to get that ripped? and how much cardio did you do?

  • its a great program i lost 25 lbs on the program im still a heavy dude but will start a new program next week, im weighing 260lbs right now, its a great program and helps you turn your eating routine into a lifestyle, its important that we dont see healthy eating as a diet but as a lifestyle.

  • were those results assisted with photoshop in any way?

  • Nope. See my previous comment.

  • @WhatYouOughtToKnow So the "after" shots were actually you, even with the surprising neck-to-head girth difference?

  • Urine therapy? Icky!

Urine is a metabolic waste product, how could anyone think there's anything nutritious in it?

  • Urine is very sterile, (clean) part of our system. The idea (fact) is that if someone has an illness; the bodies immune system has built antibodies/histamines towards it and passed it out through the urine. Essentially making a natural vaccine of sorts if ingested again etc etc. It's cool as hell. LEARN everything for yourself people.

  • junkwatcher2 = bullshit!!! cheers from a doctor!

  • Body for life WORKS!!! If you follow his plan. It's amazing. I lost 30 pounds last summer on the plan. The workout is quick and actually the easiest part. It is difficult adjusting your diet to eating 6x's a day. I just lost 4 more pounds this week. I suggest drinking 3 glasses of green tea along with the program. This is a NO FAIL way to lose weight. If you do it, you will lose!!!

  • good work ! congrat

  • which one, they have a bunch...

  • love this vid, u r v charismatic with it. i recently finished my first challenge but not sure how i can carry on eating 6 meals a day, it does get expensive as i was buying 3 meals as bfl shakes/and choc bars, i loved them though. when u fisnished the program, did u just carry on eating 6 meals? thanks Emma

  • this show kicks major ass ;D

  • haha... dude, good info and entertaining.

  • great video! :) briliant idea

  • This dude is off the chain.

  • Love this! I started BFL 2 weeks ago and I'm totally stoked about it. Glad to have found this channel. I'll have to stay tuned and watch all the episodes.....or, most of them anyway. :)

  • oh and eating 6 times a day is easy when you're supplementing 3 of those meals with protein/nutrition shakes.

  • He's right - this program is fantastic. If you are looking for the book, I'd recommend hitting your local resale store. Every time I walk into one, I see a copy of Body for Life on the shelves. Hope this helps.

  • Hey, the shots are pretty awesome for people like me that are studying muscle anatomy (for massotherapy). The lighting angle is just perfect to show the shapes!

There's still some muscles in the pictures that I'm wondering what they are :S Need to get back to my books!

  • Hey im a new subscriber :) anyways i was wondering if you also worked out on yufr muscles while you ere on this program

  • (drools!)

  • Visually weird photos. If anyone's interested I had my own -maybe a little too unusual- approach for fitness and muscle building. You could find it if you google something like this I guess: 'condeve muscle shortbus'

And there are some studies showing that the less calories you use, the longer you live. I haven't looked at that issue in detail, but maybe it's not so smart to be THAT fit. I predict that's also the reason why men die younger than women in general: Men consume more calories.

  • umm... your abs are like...insideeee your ribs.......creepy and eating 6 times a day wastes a lot of time beacuse you have to prepare it kinda maybe, u know?

  • Actually if you you plan a tiny bit eating 6 times a day doesn't take a long time. I could give you examples if you are interested. My creases in my abs just happen to line up with the spaces in my ribs. Sorry if it creeps you out. I was at about 5% body fat at the time.

  • well im just as skinny, my calfs and arms about the same size....

  • @WhatYouOughtToKnow whats your meal plan?

  • @BigHeadOsc I am sorry not trying to iffend but sometimes abs and muscles look like shit and thats because of genetics nothing a person with bad genetics can do about it I'v seen people where in a shirt their abs look like fat and sometimes the abs look like a pile of shit very few people have the genetics for perfectly allined abs.

  • BUll! Thats not you!!

  • Don't do that! Don't be that guy! LOL! Classic. :D

  • I like the before pic better! :)

  • My eyes! IT BURNS

  • woah O_O

    2:26-2:54

    you look great! :D

*cant stop staring at his back* o_o

  • Honestly, I think you looked better before.

  • Wow... I am amazed, good job!

  • I may try that book out. Better to get fit sooner, than later. :)

  • but what if we dont have time to go to the gym? or what if our gym is full of sleezy guys trying to pick up chiks?

i want to get fit but not in the expense of my sanity :p

  • Hey... Wut you doin? ;)

  • It is totally possible to avoid the creepy people at you gym. (Yeah, like I would ever pay to go to a gym!) I did all my weight training at my house with a pair of adjustable dumbells, a bench, and a pull up bar. I also went jogging around my neighborhood. All the gear I bought was used and only cost me about $60. - the guy in front of the camera

  • since his partner in the program was a woman, and she worried about looking "manish".. i was wondering if maybe you guys could put in a before and after picture of her.

    well, considering she'd approve. lol

  • That is not likely. She was happy with the improvements the program made but not quite satisfied the end with where she ended up after 12 weeks. Both of us are restarting the 12 week program to try and reach new goals. Maybe after this next 12 week session, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. - the guy in front of the camera

  • This is awesome, sounds reasonable.

    What the **** xD

    Those shots are awesome.

  • Why don't you have like 2 million views on each of your videos?

  • Because no one loves us. Just you...

  • I love you <3 And your videos comes in handy when I need to explain something to my friends when I'm too irritated to explain shit to stupid people.

  • ahem

i only come on youtube to see your videos :|

  • I've been looking at that book every time I go home to visit. This weekend I'll be taking it back with me, lol.

(Yes, I SHOULD have done it ten years ago, so what..?)

  • we believe you.

  • Is that picture edited? Because if so, its pretty believable. I believe it. I believe you're that fit. Good..god.

  • Lmao, I cracked up when I saw the after picture.

    Must be edited...

  • Nope. Believe it or not, it's the real deal. No photoshopping at all. I took and posted the picture.
