  • How great is that fellas knitted Leeds utd cardi! You'd only get away with that in the 70's.

  • "I hear Henry the 8th used to shove the ol' hap'neys about a bit when he weren't bashing missus!" Haha, class!

  • The North, The North where we do what we want to

The North, The North where we do what we like

  • reet gradely that owd lad. al sithe

  • I made sure I invested in this DVD 2 years ago before emigration purely on the strength of Frank Skinner's fine rip-off on Fantasy Football...

...only to find the incident not in Series 1! YorkshireMiner, if you own Series 2 on DVD, can you post to say if it features (and even upload if you have it?)

It's the awkward commentary that describes a greying, portly woman in her 50s playing darts, dressed in that painful style, described as 'quite a lady.....and.....a.....wife'...know it..?

  • That was brilliant, but where's the second episode?

I want to know who won the skittles.

  • That bird is a sort and when old dirty Fred came shuffling up bowling her his googly she looked a bit on edge!!! HAHAHAHA the slapper!!

  • I thought this was lost in the midsts of time! Eee by gum, can yer belly touch yer bum....... Mike S.

  • England is the best country in the world.

  • This was the best thing i`ve seen all week...how funny is Freddy Trueman and the home made Leeds Utd cardie is just sweet. Thanks yorkshireminer.

  • Times drying up ( swig ) n'so am I,

    ALSITHI ....GUD OWD fRED.

  • Hard to respond to any of that, other than to say that's not really to kick United when they're down at the present: but champion! :)

On a separate point, can I request that you knock out a video on the qualities of Barnsley's womenfolk? I, for one, would watch!! *lol*

  • Outstanding! I commend you for finding this, let alone bringing it onto YouTube. The commentators' earnest attempts at taking all this seriously just aren't for real! One question: was it me, or did I hear the late Frederick Sewards Trueman make a "light-hearted remark" about domestic violence at 3:17? YorkshireMiner, can you shed any light on this? :)

  • I hope you are not suggesting that Yorkshireminer would know anything about 'bashin' t'missus'! Not in a violent sense anyhow. Fred does seem to make light of it, but then it was 500 years ago, shortly before production commenced on 'Indoor League', and apparently old Henry was a master at nudging them pennies across the board. I'm more concerned about that Leeds Utd cardigan, looks like his mother knitted it - criminal indeed!

  • Did you never learn the famous rhyme about the 6 wives of Barry Stone from Durham?

Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived

  • Errrr..... *furiously searches this name on Google and Wikipedia* :)
