This expressway (Metropolitan Exp.) is the most elevated. This is only a part of the tunnel.

This video is completely incredible ! I've never seen in my life or in another video a tunnel as long as this ! But I whould like to be sure to understand it all : it is a tunnel who's supposed to avoid the city just up of this ? Finally what was the first goal of this tunnel ?

And so, are japan's roads all new everywhere like that ? it's incredible ! They're also really clean and general maintenance is well.

Up of this tunnel is Yamate street. But there were many buildings around the Yamate street. So construction cost by tunnel is lower than elevated highway.

Yamate tunnel is not finally complete. This tunnel will connect to Shuto expressway line 1 in 2013 (called Central Circular 2 Shinagawa Line).

This movie's tunnel is very new, opened in Mar, 2010. Other roads are not so clean.
