Nah, this movie was no better back then than it is today. Not even in the special effects department; the seven yeat older "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" was far more impressive. Baad movie.

Actually I was born in the late 80s, have grown up to be an animation geek and love so to speak everything about the classic Looney Tunes cartoons featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and all those other great characters. And if you think this movie is nearly as good as any of the original shorts from the 40s or 50s - or even respect the work of Bugs' original creators - then I'm the one who have to feel sorry for you;)

I'm just saddened by the fact that this overwrought, executive-run excuse for a movie might affect people's current image of the great Looney Tunes characters. If you make a movie featuring such legendary characters, you could at lest try to live up to the source material. Or invent some new characters which actually fit into the style of this movie. Instead, they shamelessly tried to cash in on the combined popularity of Michael Jordan and Looney Tunes, with no respect for their cartoon stars.
