This gun is intended for competition shooting. The magazine well is on there to aid mag insertion during quick reloads. You'll notice there essentially every shooter in Limited and Open Class is using one.

I would be interested in a model that IS double stack, that DOESN"t have the huge magazine funnel........ is it removable I wonder ?

A 1911/2011 has plenty of index points, you shouldn't be relying too much upon where the lower portion of your hand is contacting in order you make sure you have a good grip on the draw.

just bought one a few days ago and i LOVE it!!! i have a glock 22, SiG .22 cal, .44 desert eagle but the most accurate out of all of them is this executive. definitely worth the money!
STI makes the best guns out there in my opinion. The executive is one of the best they make too. The perfect 10 is great too. I have to try to find a vid of that. (wish I could afford one :-( )

NIce gun with a beautiful finish but I have a problem with huge writing on the slide for me that kind of ruins the effect, still, these are highly customizable so you can probably have the slide blank or custom engraved...
