  • Great Video, love it.

  • John McLaughlin hat garatiert seit über 50 Jahren seine Erfahrungen mit der Gitarre gemacht, darum zähle ich ihn zu den wissenden.Ich lasse mir da noch etwa 12 Jahre Zeit!

  • cool

  • he's the one!!!

  • He's still got it. I saw the original Mahavishnu Orchestra live in 1973 in Zurich and it changed my life. I was only 12 but that day I decided to become a professional guitar player which I still am to this day. Also I find it interesting that it's always that the most negative and devastating comments originate from YouTube members who have never uplooaded anything original....... @ gregmorrow - I bet if you'd ever pick up a guitar you woudln't be even able to play "Kum Ba Yah, My Lord"...

  • In the next life the band will be Miles Davis, John Coltrain, Tony Williams, Joe Zawinul, Doug Rauch and much later... John Mclaughlin.

  • genius

  • Oh man, he is the Mahavishnu, but not because some old pseudo-spiritual raisin told him. His Guitar is one huge sun in this universe.

  • John is THE MASTER, period.

  • John McLaughlin is the master. no other

  • супер.круто .Это лучший гитарист а мире!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Friend, you need to listen to The Inner Mounting Flame and perhaps Electric Guitarist to really understand the glory of McLaughlin. Then listen to Extrapolation to understand his origins. I fear though that he is past his most imaginative days.

  • The way he plays on this vid makes me feel sad (I see a polluted city, loneliness, noices, darkness.. i wish i could see brighter things!

  • Pan3405 , 200 grams of vodka + Abba will make brighter things for you.

  • Easy answer gregmorrow..

  • what an incredible solo. One of the greatest musicians ever. Anyone who cant see this is a suicide chump

  • Pan3405, I think you'd better listen to smth. different, try Abba.

  • I understand people say that they don't like the new John style, but in my opinion John made different worlds in his music, one John's band and one solo album its a diffrent world. I think this change its amazing, its modern but hell i love that notes :D!!!

  • @Alojavi

i recall seeing him in the early 80's, with a fusion-based trio that had some sounds very reminiscent of this. if he's doing this again, i'm there, dude!

change - or even changing back - is inevitable. embrace change or stay stuck on the fence ;)

  • I was there :) Ultimate experience.

  • I'd like to say that Di-Piazza was the teacher of Feraud , and also that Di-Piazza played with Mac Laughlin on this 2008 tour at the place of Feraud because this one had an accident and could'nt use his hand .The fact is to play with Mac Laughling at the last minute is very great , and was what did Di Piazza the Bass Master.

  • I saw 4th Dimension with Feraud during last US Tour , GREAT show, i bought the album Pirate and i can't stop listening . I think Dipiaza is a great musician and i give respect , but i don't like the way he play with John actually , it's a bit too static and less emotional .

  • with no disrespect for your opinion, to say that Dominique's playing is not enough emotional and too static is a really strong sentence about one of the most innovator and tasteful bass player in the world, don't you think?Have you been to a show of the european tour with J M or you are just basing your ideas on this clip, where Dominique's solo is also been cut after few bars?!?

  • SUITE ....

tHAT MEANS they are both exeptional ...no ? But my preference and THE vote of Pro goes for Mister Feraud .

Sorry Roby , to tell you about my personal taste , but I won't change a Feraud against a DiPiazza ....

Anyway , Music is not Olympic games , we have NO competition between great musicians , we just have to enjoy and appreciate ...

That does not avoid a personal taste Roby ...

    Cheers

  • Hei Keep,

as i told you I respect your opinion, I like a lot Hadrien too, is just that for me Dominique is untouchable, because is style is really unique and he opened a door for many players with his technique and his chops, and yes.. music is not Olympics game.. I'm glad we both agree on that.

    Cheers

  • i prefer this tune of 4th Dimension , with H Feraud on bass.

  • Yeasterday i was at his concert - that was INSANE!!!

Do you have any more video from Warsaw? I'm just trying to find some cool footage from any European show!

  • Sweet fusion-y shredding, Strat-man! Way to wail, John.

  • WOWOW!! he is on fire!!

  • Yeah!!Yeah!!He's my Hero!He's the Best!

  • hell yes
