Unlike the manufactured tripe clogging up the charts today, The Police actually worked hard to get their MUSIC not IMAGE out there by touring constantly. Though image has always been important in shifting product Sting and co. did put musicianship first and had little time to embrace the new MTV music video medium. That's it - old fart rant over
