WHen i first heard Load, I liked it, the more i listened, it loved it more and more. I've finally gotten around to Reload. It took me a while to get into it, but the grooves in the songs are just great.

Miss the Metallimullet! 2x4 was my favorite track off Load. It seems like they were going for a sludge metal type of sound with that album (James was a big CoC fan). Probably could've been better with some beefier production. The album is a bit too polished. Thicker guitar tone, and little bit more raw production quality would've done the trick.

well actually at this point the song wasn't recorded and as in all other metallica songs.. lyrics are one of the last components to be recorded so this is probably the version of the song they had at this point.. obviously it changed over the year until the records release

@Swazi4 actually Load and ReLoad were suppose to be released as a double album like Use Your Illusions by Guns n Roses but decided not to. Load and Reload are underrated albums. just because they're not thrash doesn't make them any less metal.
