@Noweenah no it's not, the serval and cougar alone have it beat. cougars can jump straight up into the air 18 feet and can clear close to 40 feet horizontally. Leopards are really strong, but no, the cougar definitely has it beat in that aspect.

Let`s get one thing straight. You can`t do comparisons like this. Notice how as we move up the list, the animals get smaller and smaller. No big animals are there, and for good reason. The lesser body weight, the easier it is to jump and the swifter the movements.

If a flea were the size of a human, no way it would have been able to jump as long as the brooklyn bridge. Not with that much body weight.

well as you can see this list about top 10 best jumper compared to body size, the comparison to human is just to show that some animals have very great jumping ability (for their size of course). i think it's quite interesting to imagine how tall/long these animals may jump with human comparison. i made this video more for entertaining than educating ;)

klipspringer 1,5 m ? O.o They are around 40 cm. You are saying that a klipspringer can jump 15 meters high.

The true champion of jumpers is the cougar, it's built to jump. If you put hares , klipspringers or kangaroos, you MUST put the cougar.

klipspringer's height at max 1,5 from it's counted from foot to horn (only the male), so it can jump around 10 times its body height (15 m at max), but average, it height to shoulder is around 50-60 cm

by the way, animals i put in this video are animals with the highest, or longest jump compared to body size. cougar can jump with length at max 12 m, with body length at max 2,5 m (tail is included), so it can jump almost 5 times its body length

Red kangaroos have a body lenght of 2,8 m or more and they can jump at max 10 m. So they can jump 3,5 times their body lenght, less than a cougar.

And for the klipspringer, it's impossible a jump of 15 meters. Maybe you don't know how tall is it... it is like if a klipspringer would jump 3 giraffes, one above the other.

sorry, i made a mistake. i read again about Klipspringer, klipspringer holds the record for highest jump compared to body height among mammals, the record is 25 feet (around 7,5 m), around 15 times its average body height (0,5 m). But i also read that male Klipspringer can reach 1 m in height too, so maybe 15 m is possible???

and maybe i should've put cougar too. honesly i got this list from a Tv animal series, Extreme :)

it's true. klipspringer is relatively small, its height is only 1 m (included horn) and its weight is around 18 kg maximally. it can jump 15 times its own weight. klipspringer is often called 'rock jumper' . amazing isn't it?

that's just for size comparison. if flea is in the same size like human, it can jump that high. flea can jump 220 times its body length and 150 times its body height because it has very powerful hind leg. flea size is around 1,5-3 mm. so its jumping ability is the best among animals (based on body size)
