  • Maybe it's just me but all of the sudden I'm dreaming of Jeanie...

  • A goddess indeed!!~

  • I love 70's soul too bad Ima 90's child runnin wild

  • Funk Goddess Extraordinaire!

  • this is what you call music!!!!!!!

  • Yeah know i jus notice she wore alot of middrif shrits.

  • I love her at 3:07 pure treat to the ears

  • chaka's body is bangin in this video...u go girl!!!

  • for Chaka, even on an off day they can dismiss the "dislike" button lmao...womenis a BEAST. When she recieved the 2011 uncf award she still can blow lol

  • Chaka, I Love it, Always!!

  • CHAKA is my all-time favorite singer!! She has such a varied range in her voice. No one, and I mean no one (yes, even Benonce) can't touch her vocal range!!!

  • Chaka writes intelligent lyrics. The industry has deliberately dumbed the listenership down. People forget that the establishment was once scared of the COUNTER-CULTURE. Chaka and Rufus are participants and products of that culture, where WHAT you had to say was just as important as HOW you say it. WE NEED A CULTURAL REVOLUTION. WAKE UP EVERYBODY.

  • @davidgoodlettmusic You know your right! You speak the TRUTH! It's obvious the establishment is using degrading images and stereotypes in music against the African-American culture just like they used the same images in Hollywood.

  • Before Beyonce, Rhiana, and Lady Gaga there was Chaka! She did it first. She is an innovator. Lady Gaga who is just trying to get attention with her look is not as original as one might think. Chaka wore the outfits first and this was her actually personality if you read her bio. Wild CHILD!

  • this is my song and she was so fine

  • she had one of the baddest shapes around u go girl luv ya!!!!

  • This song is & was profound...revelant in lyrical content & superlative w/ musicianship..however, what's going on today is it's own thing & can't be compared to what was enjoyed by the generations past..because it was THIER own thing...in short this is entertainment..it's not fair to todays artists to slam them...if they suck it's not because of thier talent..it's the POLITICS behind the product and the said DEMAND for it..We DO have a choice ...Support REAL artist..they exist...

  • i have loved this song since it came out in 77 from my favorite album of all time , ask rufus !!!!!

  • one of my favorites done as only she can do!

  • The best. There will only be one Chaka Khan. This is good music, it's good to know that with all this cracker jack music today, it's still Real Music to go back and listen too.

  • Sexy sexy and some more sexy

  • Sad place this Hollywood huh!

  • This was a ground breaking song, up until this point nothing like it had been done! very innovative!

  • look at that body OMG!!!!!!!!! chaka, chaka, chaka khan

  • I am loving this collection of classics!

  • Hit #3 soul, #32 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • Chaka khan sexy

  • Yes, that was back when Chaka was built very nice. The girl could blow and still can. She can hit those high notes like no other. I use to sing her songs all the times.

  • Sweet jesus, where on earth do you come up with all this rare footage from the Preistess of Funk? Ive just died & gone to heaven watching this.. priceless...&... KUDOS to you !!!

  • Why didn't this song get more play

  • This was a number one hit and gold record for them so it was played back in the day. Stupid DJs today don't play enough old school and folks aren't in the know.

  • i was onluy about five or so,but i remember this song as a child when my mom moved from st louis to los angeles in the 70's

  • Did you see the white guy work that organ. You better play that Hammond B3.lol

  • I was seven when this came out and I was already addicted to Rufus and Chaka/a brother was real cognizant of the sway of her hips and those lips.I still want to kiss her.

My grandmother was a missionary/evangelist and used to get at me for sing this song/stuff like that/tell me something good/

but 4 real...in my mind and recollection this was the best era of music the seventies was smooth/funky/groovy/ and timeless.

I listen to Hollywood/Move Me No mountain/Clouds&Papillion everyday in my car

  • @ sancified. she is also the reason why I like "hippity" women. As such I ca truly appreciate the black woman wih her extreme beauty, grace, & everlasting elegance. Thanx Chaka with yo fine *ss

  • Love my Chaka like no other!

  • Can't stop loving this song and this woman! Epic.

  • I was 6 when this came out, but I knew what was good!! I still have it for this woman and Pam Grier!!!

  • Me too, man. Me too. :D

  • I was soooo in love with this woman and I was only 8 years old when this song came out I loved Chaka ever since.

  • And I thought I would be the only one who remembered this, lol. ;-)

  • No she doesn't

  • I remember we'd run out to purchase jeannie pants. Chaka you were the trailblazer.

  • Beyonce, this is how you do it. Stop stealing beats!!

  • RUFUS IS THE BESTIZ

  • Yep, that's exactly how she does it. No real talent -- I'll just steal beats and endorse "L'Oreal hair color". (How many Black people do you know that use L'Oreal products?) She's done the same thing with Donna Summer. ---->>>>

  • @broux77 Yeah, and just watch a song bird do the damn thing!!

  • @broux77

I KNOW! Chaka is pure, unadulturated, CLASSY. AND she can SING, okay?! Oh, and she has real hair, too...

  • @broux77 What the HELL does Beyonce have to do with this?.. smh..

  • @jtyshi7 She doesn't THAT THE POINT !

  • Comment removed

  • @broux77: THANK YOU. Beyonce couldn't touch Chaka Khan on her best day. THIS right here is what you call REAL talent. Not some manufactured crap to appeal to the masses.

  • @honeycone71 Or Tina Turner!!

  • @broux77 She can't help it!!! Rufus & Chaka was required listening in the Knowles houshold while Mathew was shaping & molding his little superstar!!! Wise man that Mathew!!! Lol!!!

  • I love me some Rufus and Chaka Khan, they made some great music!

  • A song with this melody and these lyrics can never go out of style.

  • I have been searching for this song for about a year for my IPOD, but I didn't know the name of it. I would put the lyrics I knew (the chorus) in YouTube, but it would never come up. It scks because this song is great. Have you heard Erykah Badu's cover of it??

  • This is definitely one of the best R&B/Pop songs of the 1970s. I have heard Erykah Badu's version. While it does have that 1970s vibe, it's too heavy on the funk. I prefer the smoother sound of the

    70s.

  • she will always be sexy

  • Chaka Khan use to be sexy as hell !!!

  • And still is.....She may be bigger now....but there's something about Chaka that's always sexy...

  • TRUE THAT !

  • Rufus and Chaka and Earth Wind and Fire were my favorite groups growing up in the 70's. I still love them to this day!!!!! Thanks for this wonderful post. No one sings like Chaka.

  • me too and along with Prince, and the Isley Bros...EWF and Chaka are the ONLY acts I will pay money to see !!!

  • i love this women. i hate warner bros records for never releases any and all unreleased tracks that she recorded under their label.

  • Do you remember this one Piete M...???

  • Cha-Ka is wearing a cape!! YEEEEAAAHHH!

This is a real treasure.. Pure GOLD =)!!

  • I was in tears. i miss being 7 years old

  • This is a timeless Classic.....PERIOD!!

  • PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it gets heavy...HEAVY ROTATION at my residence....

the youngin's hated it...but now when the beat drops...they are dancing like we used to at their age...contagious music!!!
