probably wont have very well extension of your arm a month after surgery. if they recommend another surgery to have something else done or to have the hardware removed DO IT!! its well worht it in the long run. i dont even have any problems at all outta my arm now and have full extension.
I feel off my deck in the backyard when I was weather proofing it and smashed off about 4 pieces of the radial head and a piece off the ulna and dislocated it about 2 inches out of the joint, rupturing the main ligament. That happened 9/17/10, and I had surgery the next week. Now they tell me I have the early signs of HO, Heterotopic ossification, and might need another surgery in 6 months to take out the excess bone. I'm now struggling to regain my ranges of motion.
well it was nearly 2 years ago when it all happened. i broke the bone that is the nub when you bend your arm in the pivot point basically they had to go in there and put a screw and some wire in the broken bone and stuff to hold it together. the first few days was very painful. but it got better. once they took the wrapping off from the surgery after 4 weeks or so. i had the screw and wire removed last year i got 100% mobility back now. still is a little tender if i bump my elbow tho

i had the same surgery about 2 yrs ago. i broke the radial head clean off! doc removed it but i fell on it again back in june 08 and now gonna have surgery again. this time its joint reconstruction. the radius is moving all around and causing pain. if this surgery dont work then i have to do it again :( i have my surgery on thurs.
yea i gotta go back this summe rand have the screw and wire taken out an i should be all fixed up right now if i slightly bump it on anything the pain is tremendous cause they screw sticks out right where it bends
