  • 5:22 - WTF? She learned more in tech school than she did in 3 semesters of college?

hahaha that's because she was partying too much! Nonetheless, congrats on establishing a successful career in the USN.

  • @Dynamo55b uuh wierdo

  • @MrKiller0311 They just can't be in NSW companies (AKA platoons attached to Seals, SF, etc.) They can do all the rest.

  • WRONG you cant fly the same day you have been diving. Could be deadly.

  • God, the host is annoying.

  • Women in the eod....awesome I'm gunna enlist for that :)

  • @kissmykitty098 its very hard hope you can do it

  • Back in the days when you could rank up quicker. very rarely that you'll see a female eod.

  • I think this was a pretty well laid out interview with MM1. Unfortunately she didn't talk about how often/how much you have to keep up with all your qualifications. Well done though.

    MASR

  • i want a girlfriend like these lol

  • the Navy's definition of training for NBC is a failed joke. When I was on active duty as a Combat Engineer, I asked the guy in charge if he had any pointers for running a bypass on a collapsible closed circuit.... his response was "we haven't gotten that far yet". I just stood their for a few minutes while I had to realize how unqualified these jokers were.

  • i want to be an army eod and maybe go into the green berets

  • @CuzImHollywoodKid just go Navy EOD dude, they work with SEALs, SWCC, and Green Berets (: Navy is the only branch were EOD is special ops.

  • just curious if women are not aloud to have combat jobs ( infantry, Special forces ect) how come they can be part of EOD. (they should be considered combat) not sexist just curious.

  • I thought women weren't allowed to serve in special warfare/operations or in combat roles? I'm not dissing her or anything.

  • @TooLateTomorrow Nah, I totally understand where you're coming from. EOD's aren't special forces, but I didn't think women were allowed to serve in combat positions. EOD's are golden. The most dangerous thing in the war is IED's and infantry protect them. I enlist Monday to be an EOD so I can't wait to deploy. People are like.. man you're out of your mind, but when you think that your job saves thousands of lives it's really motivating.

  • @SilenceSlayer224

Awesome bro. Congratulations on that, I'm thinking the exact same thing.

  • I got mad respect for EOD.

  • oh Monica! you look rough in this interview... i'm sad now :'(

  • A real life GI Jane! Nice!

  • This is so amazing to me. I'm actually about to sign a contract to be an EOD for the Army. I've had a lot of people questioning me doing this as a female. it's great to see strong women as public figures.

  • I am a Soldier as well. I am so proud of her. I will also be EOD. Someone got to represent!

  • Not to be rude or disrespectful to women in the military but my personal opinion is that women should never be in....... as for women in a combat zone the new law that was passed is that No Femal/Women are allowed to serve in a combat MOS.... correct me if im wrong about the second part ..the first part is my personal opinion you dont need to comment on it. i myself serve and i know her job and what she does so there's no need to go against what i say.... i have plenty of experience/ knowledge

  • I'm only 15 , but I wanna be an EOD technician . I'm not in the best physical shapee and I'm a girl , How should I prepare ?

  • @Cavnar94 Look up crossfit its a great fitness class and if your enlisted the military should pay for it I am also trying to get this job

  • @Cavnar94 you can also try P90X its a serious 90 day workout, but you can make it last as long as you need. Good luck!

  • @Cavnar94 join your highschool track team

  • The Canadian Navy Clearance Divers are better though.

  • Omg, I didn't know you would have to jump out of a plane...I can't even get on Appolo's Charriot at Busch Gardens. XD

  • @Jim56o45:

I was EOD for 20+yrs I trained many female soldiers. Some made me think the Army was the NAACP just to get a check-mark on a quota for 'PC' reasons. I am glad to say that I got to train and work with and FOR some of the best EOD people, MANY of them female. It is patronizing and disrespectful of you to restrict what a woman decides to do with her life. Some female EOD techs I trained/was friends with have died. You tarnish what they did with their lives by your comments here.

  • well the interviewer finds EVERYTHING amazing.

  • Why don't you attempt Navy EOD training before you assume things?

Were you around before the Enlightenment? Did you know Jesus personally? How ancient your thinking is!

  • WHAT A JOB SHE HAS!

  • why did the comments i left here dissapear.....

  • as a naval eod recruit i would be proud and honored to serve with any woman or man how has made it threw the training they have proven themselves and i would fight by any of them

  • I agree with you. These hippies don't get it.

  • apparently you know nothing about what EOD techs go through. Its the hardest school overall in the navy. its not physically the hardest but its close to the hardest which is BUD/s. It is extremely tough. So before you start saying stupid shit how about you f!@king think. Just because a women did it doesnt mean its easy. Some of the women that go to dive school are tougher than the guys at BUD/s and dive school.

  • Is that aimed at me ?

  • Different training, the training difference between the men abd women is night and day. Only the EOD school is the same. Women don't get small unit tactics training. It don't matter if your a man or a women, what has to be done has to be done

  • @haloaded247 Not correct! Sorry, women go through the SAME training to include Dive school, EOD school, Tactics, and Static and Freefall Jump school. Physical requirements are the SAME in the Navy to include push-ups, situps, run, swim and pull-ups. It's the same whether your male or female. Then they deploy to support combat units in Iraq or Afghanistan, placing them in combat missions, despite the exclusion policies.

  • @25ildac The Navy is a great branch of the U,S. military, obviously, but it isn't known for the toughness of it's basic training.

  • marines can be eod's but can they be eod divers?

  • The ARE EOD divers as well. Same as navy.

  • No, we're not. Not all of us dive. It's not mandatory. If it's i the water, the navy deals with it. Granted we all go through the same school, but the navy guys are already dive qualified.

  • hey! she does not say "like" every second word. that's impressive!

  • I think it's wonderful women can do these jobs. Many years ago many jobs in the navy were banned for women.

  • ok i agree its a disgrace to send women into any type of combat....but they sign the papers. they choose to do what they do....she even says she loves doing it so why do you care? trust me the traing they go through is a hell of a lot harder then you think of course you dont know because you probably flip burgers at mcdonalds..... if you care about sending women into a shit hole then get off you fat pussy ass along with you dad brother son and go do it ...and until you do shut the fuck up....

  • Why is it anymore of a disgrace to send beautiful highly motivated women in harm's way than young men who are still boys?

A little respect for our women in uniform, please. Training doesn't only have to be physically challenging (men>women.) It can also be mentally challenging (men=women.)

Congress bars women from direct ground combat.

  • i hate this interviewer....

  • thats respectfull....

  • ha nice

  • Come on guys ,leave her alone.....so she can't pronounce Nuclear......big deal.

  • by the way she is sooo damn sexy

  • About the "nucular", she was an engineering student, not an english major. A tough girl no doubt!

  • Did you hear the "Nukular" at 1:55. Maybe Bush is right after all?

  • EOD looks great, but I've seen that they literally have only a 5% difference in attrition rates than Bud/s. (Navy SEAL school). It's because they lose about 35% in Dive school, and about 40% in follow on training. Or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, that adds up to a 75% attriton rate average, and SEALS have an 80-85% attrition rate. The sailor in this video sure is a tough one.

  • eod isn't spec ops.<G> i'm female and was army eod from 79 to 98, and they talked about closing the field a couple of times, but then somebody would always figure that if anybody was crazy enough to want to disarm live ammo, just leave them be.

  • Actually it is in the Navy. Navy EOD is the only EOD that does Underwater Demolitions and Dives... Navy EOD also does Secret Service Work. They are a very high speed and in your face part of the Navy.

  • all services do Serect Service Missions

  • EOD is Special Operations dumbass Navy SEALs are Special Warfare so get your shit straight before you dis EOD

  • wow i never saw a female eod tech, kinda thought they didnt allow women as spec ops?

  • They let women into the EOD, but they're not allowed to go to areas where there would be some combat.

  • Being an US Navy EOD Officer, now you're talking about a serious job !

  • @BandOfBruders So in the military you have enlisted and officers... why are enlisted called officers in the Navy?

  • Comment removed

  • A True Soldier.

  • @sts17 Sailor

  • @sts17 You mean a True (combat) Sailor. She was an E-6 back in this video (might be at least an E-7 now)

  • @sts17

    She's not a soldier.

  • @TooLateTomorrow ummm.... yes... she is.

  • @TooLateTomorrow well, ok "sailor" but w/e :P details lol

  • @sts17 you mean sailor.

  • @sts17 Correction. SAILOR! :)

  • @sts17 you mean sailor... but it's okay =]
