Yeah I've been eating this way except I incorporate raw dairy. Sometimes its hard to get grassfed meats and raw dairy at the store so I order it on the website Pasture Raised dot net
For your diet even ten planets wil not provide enough room in the paleoiticle era there were very few people living on the world.they died at an age of aprox. 30. when i talk about veganisme you think in terms of meat and vegan but with with veganism NO CATTLEFOOD IS NEEDED then there's aprox 60% more space, vegetable food is healty but not if it's being changed thu animals. and then to be eaten, once more true health and wisdom comes forth from compassion
New times need new heroes. I'm serious about that i mean modern men would be better of if they would give up the meat eating then they get more gentle and that's what women deep in their hearts like more instead of men whith a lot of bravour and (misguided) heroism.it's easer for the men too then they don't have to prove themself all the time or to protect themselfs from other men who have the same problem. i say it all with the best intentions.
@Ineke210000 I just have to say your the biggest fag ever. Just changing what we eat isnt going to change the attitude of men. Besides if America had a bunch of guys who acted like chicks we wouldn't be able to defend ourselves against people like radical muslims who want to wipe us off the face of this earth. People like you blow my mind on how stupid you are, if girls only wanted sensitivity then they would all be lesbians.
@bevonate ... for the record, here's one heterosexual Paleo "chick" who thinks you're a complete retard. When was the last time you fought a radical Muslim?
That is because we haven't evolved because of the animals products use, more and more children are enveloping fangs because of the increased meat eating, our bodies adapt in a relative short time to our eating habits, i think we have to evolve in to more and more kinder creatures who do not kill feeling creatures to eat. i believe that true wellbeing health and wisdom comes forth from compassion not by survival of the fittest, which is ussually just the survival of the cruelest or the shrewdest.
@2trey4five biostatistically speaking, I'm not sure what you mean by uncontrolled variables. In observational studies of any sort I would think there are enumerate uncontrolled variables. @wceazza : LOL. Ok, let's talk again when you are 50 years old to get an update. I had an uncle that died at 88 and he weighed 140 pounds. Most of his life he weighed 130-135. Its called genetics. So, let's talk again when you are 50 years old to get an update and see if you have favourable genetics. ;o)
At 1:51 are you not showing that 42% and 51% of diet related deaths are related to eating animal products and processed foods, respectively. Meanwhile fruits and veggies account for 7% of the death total??????????
I followed the source cited for that graph (USDA Ag. book)and it's full of headlines like: Meat Consumption at Record High, and says that we eat 57% more today than we did 50 years ago, it also says we dont eat enough whole grains. Google it for yourself and check it out.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH PESTICIDE SPRAYED VEGGIES! It is in fact used to keep crops safe from insects ruining them so we can FEED THE BILLIONS OF PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET! Advances in science has actually made it that now pesticides are not harmful to us like they had been in the early and mid 1900s. In fact, our chemical pesticides are actually safer now than the "organic pesticide" that organic farmers use now.
I have not eaten any fish , chicken or meat for over 25 years and Im fine I am 41 and people often comment on how young I look , I have no wrinkles or gey hair, about 4 years ago I went to a store and was actually asked if i was over 18!! now that is rare and an extreme example, but the point is the lack of animal products has not done me any harm. but I do not like to eat bread as it makes me lethargic bloated and get terrible acid reflux..(except malt loaf)
@BogusBoy2121 hmm, I suspect a hint of sarchasm...are you a meat eater btw? and how long is it before you "hit the wall"? when running your marathons? you should know what i mean,
@paulspydar : Grey hair has to do with genetics not diet. I am 55 and was mistaken for 38 except I eat a plant-based diet plus meat, fish (mostly), pork and poultry. My dairy consumption is practically nil and my grain consumption has been drastically reduced. I eat more veggies than fruits and have almost completely cut out refined sweets. I think sugar will age you and do more damage than almost anything else.
@auggiedoggy I agree with you about the grey hair , it was just a general statement about my overall younger lookig image, thanks for your comment. & good for you on being thought to look 38 I hope I can still pass for a younger looking person when I am on the thick end of 50!
Too much emphasis on meat. I believe that hunting by the ancients was quite limited, may be once every 2 weeks. Just like Chimpanzees. They eat meat, go crazy for it, but it is a rare treat.
awesome video, some people are starting to wake up indeed. However, sometimes the paleo diet is not enough. I have been paleo for over a year, and it was great, but it was not until I began eating raw paleo and raw meat from grassfed animals when I really began to surthrive.
I'm currently doing a similar diet temporarily for aesthetic purposes, but I wonder about the claims people make about this being good for long term health. The China Study laid out hard data that showed, basically, the more animal protein consumed, the worse health was. They did this comparing populations from all over China so their sample size was pretty huge and thus their conclusions were pretty strong. Any thoughts on that?
@vegansquared : Meat doesn't seem to be an issue with Icelandic people or Okinawans or people living around the mediterranean. I mistrust Campbell for the same reason I mistrust Dr, Barnard of PCRM.
from about 1:00 to 1:40 should be removed from this video. it is inaccurate to make the generalization that hunter-gatherers lived short lives. there is proof of many hunter-gatherer peoples that had life spans similar to our own.
Eating a paleolithic-style diet is the most beneficial component of a healthy lifestyle. Eating a diet consisting of meats, vegetables, eggs, berries, nuts, etc. will not only make one leaner, but will improve most markers of cardiovascular disease. The nutrients in such a diet also help ward off other diseases. Unfortunately, the grain and dairy industries command tremendous influence in the United States, so it is be up to the people to rediscover the benefits of eating this way.
@catchfree84 Oils are very healthy, especially Omega3 rich oils, olive oil and coconut oil. The following video may be of interest youtube.com/watch?v=gNFCTJKBg28
@paleodiet ever heard of oil pulling? you get a good organic cold pressed oil. you put a tblspn full in your mouth, and swish it around, but dont gargle with it. swish it for about 5 min, then spit. some people get a nasty taste in their mouth as toxins come out. theory is, stomach acid kills the good fats we eat. oil pulling gets it straight into your system, because the oil goes under your tongue. (like when you put a tablet under your tongue) it had rid people of many illnesses, great detox
Ive I been on the diet for 3months, and I gotta say I dont think Im gonna stop anytime soon. Ive always preached you cant lose weight permenantly without exercise. Ive lost 55pounds and feel great. If I eat bread I get really tired and achy. If I eat dairy or greasy food I get horrible case of green apple trots.
I know how you feel. Ive done this for about 2 months now and my skin has cleared up and i dont have to wear deodorant. Ive been pretty athletic for a while and i dont really notice a difference in energy or strength but i know im way more defined. so far so good. super easy after two weeks or so. i just stock the freezer with fish and berries.
@yournotmydad ive been trying to go raw and failing horribly long term so now im thinking of mixing raw green veggies in with meat here and there. Is fish your only meat source or do you do other meats? im trying to go as meat-lite as possible
@EyeWearMySunglasses I personally use chicken, turkey, prawns, tuna, salmon, bass, makeril, etc,I do have the occasional Steak.A good way to start to introduce raw is to make a berry smoothie and use some broccoli heads in there.Or get some spinach in a stariner, pour on some boiling water then serve.Cabbage allways goes well in salads, dont forget nuts and seeds all go towards a raw diet.
@eta0225 I know when I eat too much bread/pasta I get depressed and want to sleep all day!!!! I'm going back to only eating healthy meat and veggies. I'm tired of feeling like this bloating and bitchy.
Whatever happened to "everything in moderation"? It's CONSUMING TOO MANY grains, sugars and carbs that will lead to diabetes, heart disease and the like. Blaming the foods themselves is incorrect. Additionally, there were various cultural groups that consumed grains & sugars after the agricultural revolution that still prospered healthwise. Is dietary exclusion REALLY the best way to go? Listen we can't go back in time, and don't have to, there's hardly any hard labour anymore, so we don't need any 'heavy' food anymore
i thought you where raw meat eaters. The production of 1 pound of meat takes 3 to 18 pounds of vegetable food, and 50 to a 100 times more water.
and produces aprox. 25%of greenhouse gasses comes from cattlefarming
Eating vegan is far more healthy and delicious! We need more land for food and to create vegetable plastics. since were running out of mineral oil
