Sounds like Julian Fellowes misses those days when he can just sit there and let someone dress him, cook for him, clean for him, drive for him and pick up behind him--someone who will work (20) hours a day just to keep up with the fact that he is so wealthy & has a "busy schedule." Snobbery is still in vogue!
Currently you can hire someone to come in and do domestic service, but most look to go home at the end of their (8) hr work day and have a life of their own.
"They weren't the good old days at all." There are always good and bad things in the past. The idea of having servants to do every single thing for you, rising before you do and going to bed after you, was and is not one of those good things.
I like all those old British master and servant tv series especialy Upstairs downstairs and the comedy You rang my lord, but all seems to be period stories about the old days.
But what about making a series about modern servants, like the Filpino maids who are still live in servants.
I some times think it has to go back to the days like this I mean people have lots so much respect for each other and may be things like this may get this world working property agen.
It is all a matter of propaganda according to this video. True...very true...
