Wow! This brings back some memories. "Remember Then" hit the charts here on the day I got married, (12-21-62) and I went out the next day and bought the record. (Seventy eight cents at Sammy Vincients) Funny thing though, the record lasted a lot longer than my marriage. Glad to see that so many people appreciate a great song when they hear it. Thank you and "Beth Wishes" for posting it.
i'm 25 years old, and I remember listing to this song when i was little, in my house the only thing was aloud to be on the radio was oldies nothing else, now i see why today cause today's music is garbage!!!!! at Least you can understand what they are saying and what they mean.......
I was a bar manager in Kissimmee Florida and these guys were playing at the " Little Darling 's House of Rock & Roll " and I had them come down to my bar after their show on a saturday night and the next day, their final performance, they dedicated this song to me by calling it Remember Bingo. great bunch of guys.
I am going to be seeing them Live this Saturday in Hamlin PA @ Big Daddy Fest. This Event will benefit The National Kidney Foundation & The Gift Of Life Donor Program. To be held Saturday August 20, 2011 1PM to ??. $10 per person kids under 10 are free. Parking is $2 and is being held at the Masonic Salem Lodge #330 Grounds and Pavilion Route 191, Hamlin PA 18427.Also appearing wrestling Legends Afa The Wild Samoan, HeadShrinker Samu, Afa Jr The Samoan Storm Jummy Snuka & Gene Snitsky
Someday this beautiful American music will be back in popularity. I went to Best Buy the other day and I saw several redistributed records being sold there. There WILL be a revival of Doo-Wop and Rock'n'Roll someday. It all starts here. A great community to share our musical passions with. Thank you for posting.
@TheBalladOfSgtPepper I agree. Im finding more and more people in my age group (18-25) getting into music from the 50's and 60's. Its more widespread than some would think.
@tehpewpew420 I know it, who would ever thought the era to never live in the incredible era of this music would treasure it the most. SO FLIPPIN COOL.
a funny story about this and other similar songs like this.just starting out in my career as a dj the station owner was still stuck in the 30s & 40s and did not like the nrw fangled music..we had loads of fun bugging him playing rock & roll.this might sound like a take on wkrp in cincinnati.but this was before that time.the old bugger had a record player in his office playing big band music & once in awhile we would hide a speaker in there & pipe a few tunes in. thanks for the memories
@hants21 Like they said...Rock & Roll is here to stay. I did not come along until the mid-80's, but my Old Man sure played the classics for me growing up, and while I love (most) forms of music, these are the songs that I love the most.
