You don't "become manic depressive" You are usually born that way...huge chemical issues in the brain. You probably just had regular depression..still bad though. My dad is manic depressive...has been all his life.

@00Flamerz I specifically have Cyclothymia, which is within the spectrum of Manic Depression. It was only when I tried to kill myself 6 times that they realised what was wrong with me. I had symptoms all my life but it became 'active', it had been dormant for years, my grandmother and uncle suffer from MD too. That kinda issue can run in the family. I've been to specialists. If it was normal depression I wouldn't become euphoric within minutes and then go to being suicidal.
