Your dad misses the initial growl, his voice lacks power, he misses squeels, whimpers, he lacks breath support, the chorus is supposed to be angry, full of agression, this man is a freaking psycho losing control, there has to be anger, power, frustration in the voice. Love the music though, great band, musically.
There are 3 Vedder impersonators that are worth listening to. Me from Alive, the guy from Ten, and the guy from Jeremy's Garden. I've quit doing the PJ tribute thing and thus there are two. To do Vedder's voice justice you need power, pitch, tone, the ability to scream, and to be able to sing clearly and softly in deep bass, mid range and high range voices. Also have to have a falsetto capable of some pretty tricky things.
