I've meant a bunch of these skaters and refs recently.
It seems to me that there's a high frequency of Direction of Gameplay penalties being made. A fair number of Back Blocks too. The two minor Back Blocks at 0:58 probably would have been a major if the first blocker hit was on skates.
A brief Explanation: It was so wet and rainy outside that the mud and water started seeping up through the concrete. First time in HRD history. IT was so dangerous to skate or even walk actually that we had to call the game for safety. Skaters and fans did not want to go home yet or admit defeat. So in True Derby fashion we made lemonade out of lemons and for the fans played roller derby in our socks
Both Battle Born Derby Demons from Reno and Oakland Outlaws from Bay Area were amazing sports.

We do this all the time with our rookies so they learn the rules first off skates. It is crazy fun. But very slippery.
