  • 5:53 Amen Vangie!!!! You got it exactly right!!

  • Van was becoming to important to all the leading men on the show. John was her truest love, Todd was the craziest best friend she will ever have, Christian she settled for, Hugh i think had a crush on her and John knew he did thats why he was always had some what of an attitude when he talked to him, Bo liked her, Kevin flirted with her and then theres Spencer Trueman you could tell he enjoyed their scenes together. All these men came alive with her, she brought their sexy out.

  • mjkid4ver i agree with you. John did not try hard enough. The writers wanted him to prefer Nat over Vange. In a real life situation, I dont'think there would have been any doubt in his mind who he loved. Deep emotion! If the writers want us to believe their s/l, then they will have to step up to the plate and play it out like it would have played out in real life. ME worked his character in such a way that he wanted you to believe that JOHN LOVED VANGE and that's because he did love her.

  • I HAVE A QUESTION...LISTEN UP PEOPLE! If Vange and Nat both were tied to the pole, How is it that Nat could fall into the flames. They were tied to the pole. Did the rope suddenly come untied as soon as John bursted through the door? How could she fall if she was tied? Granted, she may pass out, but the ropes would still be holding her up wouldn't they? Of course Nat would be the first to pass out. I'm thinking she saw John burst through the door and once again, she was the helpless Nat.

  • Come on JoVan fans, you have to admit, that this is a lot for Vange to have to swallow. That's real pain. She said it, don't think the irony is not lost on her"...she would be where Nat is if John had not saved Nat first. I can only imagine what Van must be feeling about the man that she is still in love with and his choosing Nat over her...hurt and relieved that she is alive. The writer's were so unkind to her character, but in doing so, she is more beloved by her fans. We love you REG/Vange.

  • john ass could have tried harder to get her back, his methods sucked but i guess the writers wanted it that way, natalie needs to just die

  • Nail was hit on the head with Evangeline's speech. If only they (Evangeline & John) could have gotten passed their issues. This could have been a SUPER COUPLE.

  • Big Van fan!! Anyway....WOW!! Van got their whole love triangle summed up. What she said at 5:40 - 6:03 was right on! She said what we've all been thinking from the beginning! John did love Van, but she didn't need saving. That's what really killed them, Natalie did play a *big* part of that. But if it wasn't her...it would have been something or someone else. So sad.....

  • This was poorly scripted given the following these two had as a unit. Writers were floundering and it showed. What direction?

  • I wonder if ME was/is as sick of hearing the name Natalie as i was/am , i wish i had a dollar for everytime its mentioned i'd be a millionaire by now *RME* lol

  • this is crazy natalie and evangeline are lucky that john was there and natalie was the first to get saved but where's natalie

  • LOL, she called him by his real name, Michael at 4:35. Guess they didn't think anyone would catch it!

  • thanks for pointing that out

  • Indeed she did say Micheal but she was talking about his brother. Listen to it closely again she tells John that he needs to have michael look at his cut.

  • okay but i swear she called him by his real name

  • @jadadominique naw she said something like "Let michael look at it" his character's brother.

  • Van's Mom was a real BALLBUSTER....no wonder she does not have a man. I did not like Van with Christian either.

  • This writing was fickle. Back and forth...all in the same segment. Who wrote this ISH?

One second the writing says Vangie wasn't grieving his choice, understanding it.

The next, she's putrid that he's questioning her about the killer, rounding it out as if he's putting Nat first.

  • Never could stomach the way the writers spent an enormous amount of time un-writing Jovan. He chose Nat...I'll never forgive the writers for that.

  • Victoria Rowell is pushing 50! she still looks good though, and is a superior actress in her own right. But recasting her as Evangeline is just plain ludicrous! Most likely she's heading back to Y&R. Gotta admit though, the Van and John pairing definitely needs to happen again. OLTL, has never had a couple like those two.

  • What is it about Vans men having a bad right hand?

  • i like how john was touching her hand without ger realising.lol cute scene!

  • It is time for a Jovan reunion. But, at what cost? Victoria Rowell is an excellent actress. However, I do not think that she would be an appropriate selection for the role of Evangeline. Only REG and ME can portray the dynamic chemistry required in the Jovan storyline. OLTL desperately needs REG. Otherwise, I think Jovan would be best remembered than rekindled with a replacement under the circumstances.

  • i wish she was still on she was my favorite

her and kelly and they both are gone

  • wow the way Van was treated by John was disgusting..she is too nice

  • i second that. he was definitely acting like an emotional invalid. van had class all the way

  • Ijmcclain and Glo4u, it is sad that TPTB were unable to "commit" to the great storytelling material they possessed by seriously pairing Van with John or Todd. Two incredibly damaged brooding loners- treading dark waters. Both hopelessly attracted to the beautiful lightness of Van. The more It makes me so sad that they let go such wonderful possibilities! I believe REG "unexpectedly" shook-up their game-plan. Saddest of all?... they could STILL make it happen... assuming REG is willing!

  • If John was really in love with Natalie, Evangeline would not have been able to get to him the way that she did. I know he never say he loved her but it obvious to me that he did. They had a relationship that was not created based on neediness but passion. However, Natalie had to win according to the writers and they made sure she did.

  • I agree with jerandjoh. I just happened upon these videos and fell in love with the this couple. I never watched the show. The writers did fall short, they created something beautiful and chickened out. It's sad.

  • My familiarity with this show is limited to these shared clips! It does seems a shame that the writers couldn't rise to the challage of Van and her 3 men. Clearly she had a profound and positive affect on both John and Todd (Cristian not so much). Makes me wonder if they were afraid that Van was becoming TOO important. Perhaps their "jumpoff" generated more HEAT than they anticipated!

  • Gosh I think you really hit the nail on the head, it was bad enough that they put that dimwit, immature Natalie with him, then Chris was way too jealous and did not trust her, and then Todd seem to really care about her and when Todd really cares about someone its real, I think they just could not handle her being in the spotlight, so well and overshadowing the other women in the show.

  • I didn't like her with Cristian either. He was too jealous and abusive to me. So many Crave fans I thought I was alone thinking that.

  • I really got to thinking the other day and I remember seeing an interview with her on the View I think but anyway she said she had had 2 miscarriges while on the show, I just wonder if maybe she is pregnant now and does not want to risk losing another baby, if my hunch is right I think she will come back and probably with baby in tow. I think they are going to say that one percent of that preg. test she took was working. With Christian now with Sarah and Todd with Blair, I just hope I am right.

  • The "Encroachment Scene" there's a comment that says that Victoria Rowell may replace REG. Heartbreaking! Also very disappointing! Why can't they just bring REG back! It's time!

  • Just speculating...if REG ever did come back, I don't think they'd pair her with John, Cris, or Todd. I think there would be someone completely new so that the writers could figure out which old flame to toy around with. It's funny that you mention Kevin Buchanan. Although I have NO complaints with the John & Todd pairings, I think that pairing her with Kevin if came back would be a good idea. REG and DG are friends and have tons of chemistry. If he stays and she ever came back, I'd watch that.

  • It's a shame how they treated Renee on OLTL. It just seems like they reduced the character of Evangeline to a mere "jumpoff" for the three male characters she was involved with on the show.
