  • Nice bike!

  • a great bike

  • i like your bike a lot!! have fun with it :)

  • sounds good man, love the look of those pipes.

  • wow nice sound to it! A real man's bike to the 9999999 million degree!!!!!!!

  • cool sound!

  • that sounds so nice and throaty, stunning bike!

  • @PikeySlayer

Thanks mate. It doesn't look like that now. It looks slightly Cafe Racer without looking like a Thruxton I keep buying bits for it, I think I have a problem?. I must post a more up to date video.

  • Always loved the Balck and White great looking bike mate!

  • @bstortford196622 I had one just like this one, and i sold it. Big mistake!

  • This bike has school girls drooling , even today! Everyone knows its the hottest bike for cruising around town and still fun on saturday nights with a trip to the local bike spot!

  • would be this bike good for me? im 1,96 m tall

  • @bichoorojo Check the Triumph forum wwwdottriumphratdotnet. Search the threads because I'm sure tall riders have posted comments about this issue.

  • @bichoorojo I had the same question. I'm 6 feet tall. I didn't have $8,700.00, so I ended up buying a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 - The reliability of Japanese bikes combined with the retro styling of a Bonneville at less than 1/4 of the cost. The bike is considerably bigger than the Bonneville, but it fits me just fine - I'm very happy with the size - the jury's still out on whether this (my dream bike) would be too small for me.

  • how tall is this bike?

  • @MrSubielove check Triumph's web site for specs at wwwdottriumphdotcodouk.

  • how tall is this bike?

  • @MrSubielove ..to tall for jou...sorry... its a man thing..

  • @mieselvis lol...good one...

  • nice bike. What brand are the pipes?

  • many compliments!

  • Better than a Harley

  • i like these bikes, i also like the royal enfields! im trying to decide what kind of bike to get but im a bit stumped. i dont wanna burn up the roads so im not looking for speed, im only looking for reliability and something to cruise on like in the mountains sometimes and for joy riding. how do the triumphs do for cruising speeds on the interstate and riding in mountains and what are their top speeds? i know the new enfields top out around 81mph.

  • That is a sweet sound! Would love to put those on my T-100

  • Sweet !

  • Love the sound

  • thank god for john bloor

  • sweet

  • That's it. I'm definately putting Staintune peashooters on my 08 Bonnie.

  • is it wrong that when he revved the engine i got a hard-on?

  • no you've probs got a bike fetish, lmao nothing to worry about!!

  • I'd prefer this over a Harley any day

  • I had one of these for three years.

Traded it in for a Daytona, big mistake.

Tested a couple of Harley Sportsters, i like Harley's but not the Sportster, not as nice a bike as the Bonnie.

    Wish i had kept it.

  • that sound is orgasmic. and to the person saying this is a learner's bike, piss off. this is a classic rebuilt to modern spec and i'd love one. if you can't see why people like this sort of bike then dont say anything. i love sports bike as much as the next guy (own a zx6r) but these bikes still have a place in my heart.

  • When I was in England, I saw one whiz by me at about 120 or so (every body else was doing over 100) down the M80 going towards the West country. Sweet sound and nice handling. This isn't a learners bike; it has way too much torque!

  • What a smooth sounding motor.

  • What makes you think that?

  • Yeah so climb onto your rice burner and ride a mile long wheelie into a Peterbuilt truck.... Dick!!

  • Ha. And people think harleys have a unique sound.

  • I dont know y but this bike is so fucking awensome .. He looks old style ;)

  • I always thougtht the Bonneville was a classic design. Great look bike and they still make them with the cool gas tanks.

  • What a beauty! That's my dream.

  • Yeah!! love that sound. I have to buy a pair of Staintunes for my 09 Bonnie.

  • such a good looking bike. such a nice sound to em too.

  • I've been looking to buy a Bonneville like this one.. i just don't know wehre to buy one.. I live in San Diego Ca.. any ideas??

  • Try Baxter cycles .Google in .They're main dealers and deal in old bikes too.

  • Hey Kick, so sorry. I accidently clicked the "thumbs down" instead of "reply".

If you're still looking, I understand there is a dealer in Inglewood California.

I plan on visiting soon myself.

    -KM

  • Just a beautiful bike - problem is I can't decide which bonneville - they all look so great

  • T-100

  • I just bought

  • Just bought a T100 and I love it. Best bike ive ever ridden in 35 years of riding. Im in England and just love my Bonnie!

  • i love the bonnie!

  • LOVE the bonnie it's great and i think it sounds ok too, the pea shooter is quiet but still sounds nice.

  • Bonneville's are great. The 09 would be the perfect bike for me being FI. I prefer air cooling myself for reasons which to explain would exceed the comment space.

The look, riding position, everything about it is exactly what I want in a bike.

BUT seriously, list price of $7,699? Where does that money go? It's air cooled, has a chain drive, valve adjustments, no luggage... where is that money going? It's a great bike, but overpriced unfortunately.

  • I guess its because its imported? Who knows! My bike now has 20000Km (12ooo Miles), all trouble free, so from a maintenance point of view, they are very cheap.

  • i'm also in florida. i love the look of the triumphs.

  • i like these classic triumphs too. but i also like Harley very much and i think that herleys are very overpriced! you just pay thousands of dollars just because its a harley...

  • Even the 250's are overpriced these days.

...Seems income doesn't grow proportionately with inflation...

  • Its not a 250, its 865cc.

  • @ntrudr800 That's why it's called inflation.

  • @ntrudr800 Hahaha, you got told.

  • Lovely bike, sounds better than expected. Pls get a better camera!

  • Sorry Mate, I love the look of the bike but the engine sounds like a Super Dream

  • cool bike...i just got a new '09 bonnie, the sixties version w/ the spoke wheels, etc.

i'd like to do a walk-around vid without me on the bike as well and post to YouTube, but with the electronic fuel injection setup the bike cuts off automatically when you drop the kickstand.

  • I thought it only cuts out while in gear when you drop the kick stand. Try dropping the stand while in neutral. Happy riding!

  • I agree with Jdabel1 - at least true of my '01.

  • @jdabel1 In neutral it keeps running for sure. I have a 2010 this same color.

  • this is a great video and very helpful audio for the pipes. SWEET SET UP DUDE!

    5 stars for sure. rated.

  • I think the B & W is the best color scheme. Get the carb jetted, some aftermarket pipes in the peashooter style, rear hand rail, shorter turn signals, handlebar end mirrors and fork gaitors. You'll love the look and sound.

  • Hard decision to make. I like the sound of the Predators but want to keep the Pea Shooter style on the Bonnie. Staintunes sound great. Double the price of Preds but retain that original look. Hard decision to make.

  • Beautiful bike. I have a Street Triple which is excellent fun but there's something about the feel and style of these bikes that can't be replicated. When I get enough funds for another bike I'd love one for the sunday rides....... I bet my girlfriend would prefer the ride on a bonny as well :)

  • Amen to that brother! I too ride a Street Triple and absolutely love the look of the Bonny. I was considering taking the Bonny over the Triple, but I'm not sure how well it'd hold up in the daily grind. any ideas?

  • The Bonny is a great daily ride. I use mine to commute on the freeway. Easy to navigate between traffic.

  • I can't say for the Bonny but I did have the luxury of a Scrambler 900 whilst my street triple was being repaired for a weeks commuting and once you get used to the stance it's a good commanding ride which may be comparable.... I'd prob swap bikes depending on my mood - thrash through traffic on my street triple if I'm a bit grumpy so to speak!!

  • Just a Triumph bonneville at a bad time in my life, enjoyed the bike and met great people.

  • Triumph designed the bonneville simply to corner the market in Nastalga. People getting old with memories simply buy one to get their glory day before it is too late

  • Possibly. And in your case case that seems true. Although check any of their advertising. They may mention the old days to establish the connection of the old and the new but all their riders are early 30ish. I think the Bonny's appeal is wider than you let yourself believe.

  • i agree

i'm 19 and i'd much rather have a bonnie or thruxton over a crotchrocket

old school just has so much more class

  • yep, the teenagers i know love the look and sound of my T100

  • I'm 23 and ride a Sportster right now, next bike is a toss up between a Bonneville or MAYBE a Street Bob. It's just a different aesthetic is all. Classic cruiser style bikes will always appeal to people into Blues, Rockabilly and Heavy Metal. The scenes overlap a bit. Whenever someone my age grills me on my bike I ask em if they like Metallica, Bourbon and dive bars. From the crotch rocket set the answer is invariably no, and ne'er the twain shall meet!

  • LOL sounds about right. I got a 73 triumph Trident and am looking to get a 2001 Triumph Bonneville so my Dad and my can ride(I'm 20). I just think how cool riding a bonnie would be compared to the crotch rocket crap of now. And you're right. My dad plays guitar, so I grew up on Allman Brothers, Springsteen, Stones, etc. So I have a much different taste than the majority of kids my age.

  • im 23 and ia hip hop dj but classic and vintage appeals to any gentenan, im actively searching for a bonnevile myself friend;0)

  • Yeah, you don't have to be a bogan or a greaser to appreciate beautiful machines. Currently riding a Honda SS50E (125cc) and will buy a Bonneville T100 when I get back to Oz.

  • Huh?

I'm too young to remember the glory days of the pre units. But I do like the classic lines of the new Bonnevilles over a sports bike any day.

  • Nice bike! That sound is spot on. Reminds me of the older sound of BSA

  • Loved my old 68 Bonny, but would really love a new one! So glad to see these bikes look and run better than ever.

  • Nice...BritishIronRiders. com

  • nice! newbonnevilleriders. com

  • hey a question for you bonnie riders. i currently own a ducati monster but im considering selling it in favor of a bonneville for a more upright position on longer rides. my only issue is i like to ride aggressive if im not going long distance; so how hard is it to install the thruxton's clip ons and seat cowl, they are essentially the same bike, right?

  • The Thruxton has the clip on handles and rear set pedals to provide a sports position riding style. The Bonneville standard and T100 have a neutral riding position. As far as how easy it is to swap over the clip ons? Don't know, never done it.

  • I had them installed at my first service at 1500km. I found a noticeable difference in acceleration. It seemed less restrained.

  • The pipes sound really great but any change on the performance ?

  • What are the most silent pipes you can get for this model?

  • The most quiet silencers are the ones that come stock with the bike. Most of us like something a bit beefier.

  • Are those stock pipes, or TOR's?

  • As stated on the video's info, they are Stayintune pea shooter pipes. They look the same as the stock pipes but have a nicer tone.

    Cheers.

  • Hey pal...do you mind sharing the information on where can these Stayintune pea shooter pipes can be purchassed from. I have a T100 with stock pipes - they sound weak. Much appreciated in advance. A.

  • I don't know about their availability in the U.S. but they are widely available in Australia at Triumph Dealers. Good Luck

  • Try your dealer or better yet the website and the guy mis spelled it it's staintune. there's also another brand here in US that is basically same pipes and same material but much cheaper... My dad has them on his T100 I'll give u the name if u PM me

  • Shit, WA boy! Good onya mate, fkin sweet Triumph :D

  • and where´s your jacket???

  • that sounds really good. like my bubs but not quite as obnoxious.

  • Top stuff !

and what a choice of motorbike ;-)
