@supervideo778 well i ride a blaster 200 but ive been riding that for like 3 years and ive been on a banshee a few times and im selling one of my 4 wheelers and getting a yfz 450 and i was just wondering cuz im not very reckless unless it comes to flat track racing
watch this video of my friend jumping at glamis on his yfz450f its sick 100 foot jump type in " 24Velasco24 " on search and his video is called " QuadRide "
actually guys , i'v ben riding for since 8 , and i'm 15 .. i'm going for a 450 . i had a grizzly 80, and grizzly 125 , witch i still have, but its for sale , lol .. my friend has a 400ex, its awesome, i think i can handle a 450 , haha
well i just got a ltr450 and i had a z400 for like 2 1/2 years and i can tell u theirs a pretty big diffrence between the two. and ive been riding since i was 6.
depending on the comparison...my uncle has a Raptor 700r, and his brother has a YFZ 450r...the YFZ destroys the raptor in a short track...but the raptor tops out at about 15 MPH faster than the YFZ...its all based on acceleration
I think you should start out on a 250 Quad Racer, the YFZ has so much power. Mine is so fast it scares the shit out of me, and i've been racing these all my life....I'd have to say work your way up to the 450...
na u dont want a 450 at 14 buddy..there more like a street bike made for dirt then a 4wheeler there dam quick, n they got alot of usable power but it takes a while to adjust 2 if ur lookin for a yamaha get the 250 or 350 like these other guys r tellin u..but if u like doin wheelies alot go with the 250 cuz the 350 has a heavy front end
Hey a good bike for a 14 year old would probally be the yfz 450. The kid will probally never grow out of it and they last forever. Ya they have a bunch of power but the kid will get used to it. Thats just what i recommend.
depends on your skill level, if you are just starting out i would probably suggest a 400ex or ltz400, they are fast but also are all around good quads, i pretty much started on one along with a friend of mine who got one. if you have ridden before get a 450, doesnt matter what brand just get whatever you like
is the yfz450 or rapter 660 better in open field/snow/dirt riding? and which one is better on wheelies/jumps? im trying to pick my next quad. help please
You have to take the bottom of the carb off and punch out the little plug that's in there, then you can get to it. It's easier to get a aftermarket one for 20 bucks, there easier to get to and adjust.
Its up under the carb you'll have to loosen the carb from the air box and head. Pull it out and tilt it. You'll see a flat head screw. Loosen it to get more fuel. Turn it in for less fuel. Most jet kits say only turn it out one full turn. Otherwise you could get too rich.
hahahaha i'd like to see your jumps jcslider87! i like the ridin by the way buksie, i just got the grey 08 and im in love =D, ill post a video up this winter of some crazy ridin, so check it out lol keep it up!!!

im 15 and i rode a raptor 700r many of times, ive been riding since i was 14 lol
icool247 2 years ago
yea but a 450 is much quicker and faster than a raptor
fox13z400 2 years ago
its still fast thoough, in a drag the yfz would be maybe 2 quads in front. thats SUCH a big difference*sarcasm*
icool247 2 years ago
i no im just saying
fox13z400 2 years ago
too bad the yfz450 doesnt have reverse like the kfx450. all 450's should have reverse, i mean what about them hardcore trail riders??
icool247 2 years ago
true it does suck but thats y i kept my z400 too.
fox13z400 2 years ago
Most trails are one way you don't need reverse lol.
I personally don't mind that my yfz450 doesn't have reverse.
guero31030 2 years ago
what about tight trails and you went to a dead end and not enough room to turn around? you better get some use on that grab bar
icool247 2 years ago
That just makes the ride a bit more interesting. I guess it doesn't bother me because where I ride the trails are nice an wide for the most part.
guero31030 2 years ago
Ever heard of spinning the ass end around? Works everytime. Don't be a lazy ass, do work son.

it still would be a help
icool247 2 years ago
you get off and you push. It's not that bad.
BWRProductions 2 years ago
it'll still be nice though. im sure if you had reverse you would use it rather than getting off and pulling and it.
icool247 2 years ago
@BWRProductions lol true
