I think, I am not sure, that many people do not understand there are people on the so called left and the so called right that can actually agree on some subjects. To me where HUMAN RIGHTS are concerned there should be no left no right there should only be people who come together and stand up for human rights for all people. Only then can we call ourselves human and not just barbaric savages.

I think that most people, including myself, would agree with your comments. However, the "divide and conquer" strategy is an ancient, tried and true method long employed by repressive institutions (church, governments, elites, corporations, et al) in order to control and connive populations into doing what the institutions want -- in addition to keeping the people weak, confused and disorganized. The "left / right" political paradigm is the continuance of that methodology.

@yington there's a difference between showing solidarity with Palestinian activists in Canada and interfering in other country's affairs, he's not lobbying anyone or any government official in Canada, neither is he advocating some kind of political revolution in Canada!!
