From Denmark comes the greatest approval of a great masterpiece: Bathory - Twilight of the gods.

I have listened this this masterpiece since '93 (know I'm a bit late) yet this album I've returned listening to again and again. His lyrics are great. The music is fantastic and yet having listening to for years still new moments of truth will come to you as you think about it.

I consider this as one of the best black metal musicíans doing his uttermost masterpiece.

I still remember when I heard this song for the first time and it still gives me goose bumps. Me and my class mates were on a school trip in South Tirol. It was winter and the nights were dark and cold (obviously...). And in addition to that it was fullmoon (I'm serious!). So every night me and my classmates went to a pub to have a few drinks. Walking through the cold night with the fullmoon above our heads and with this song in my ears... GOOSE BUMPS!!!

For a guy who does all his albums alone with some minor exceptions I would say that's pretty impressive, he achieved what whole bands couldn't and posthumously deserved, hands down, to be called one of the most influential and important musicians in scandinavian metal history.
