Errr, in that case you have absolutely NO idea about music. On his OWN myspace page, it describes his genre of music as "new wave". Joy Division were one of the most important pioneers of New Wave (also sometimes refered to as post-punk), along with bands like Siouxsie & the Banshees and Devo.

If you honestly can't hear the influence, then you really have no ear for music! It is a complete rip-off and, seeing as it's actually listed on his OWN SITE, I don't really think there's an argument.

Oh, and I would imagine (although I'm not sure) that the "Control" part of his name is a direct reference to Joy Division, seeing as "She's Lost Control" is one of their most famous songs and "Control" was the name of a biographic film of Joy Division's singer, Ian Curtis.
