Just now, I finally got around to watching this video and I'm blessed with a Kickle Cubicle reference! That game was a staple of my youth. I think it's completely overlooked and underrated and I also can't believe it hasn't been ported to the VC or even remade in some WiiWare "deluxe" version. Fun Fact: this summer it dawned on me that I had never beaten the Bonus Game mode and finally finished it. Nice little nostalgia trip.
@FronteirJazz Yes, and when you had buttered toast I had a blu ray copy of foot fetish pornography. Is there really a point in trying to make a comparison between led zeppelin and green day?
While you had Green Day I had Led Zeppelin (IV). No I'm not that old, and I'm not trying to start any flame wars or anything but who had the better soundtrack? I am very happy to have been raised in appreciation of older music. As I get older myself I apply that to even more things than before, though there's something about listening to Classic Rock that will always say "This is home" and for me that's awesome.
I think some one already suggested this one, but how about doing YOLO: Deus EX?
I dont think that 8-bit sidescrollers make such great YOLO games, even if there can be some really tight situations, they're more suited for no damage runs etc.
It's all about character immersion, so stealth and survival horror games work the best in my opinnion.
I'd love to see you playing Silent Hill 1, but it's actually kind of hard to die in it.
@Menegrothx Points all taken. I'd do SH, Deus Ex, etc. Feel free to shoot me an email with emulation pointers. I was always a Nintendo guy growing up (does it show?) so I have limited experience with other consoles / PC games. Any suggestions are appreciated, but I might also need ideas on how to record them. :)
Hah, it definitely shows! I've wondered for quite some time if you like late 90s platformers, like the first three Crash Bandicoot games, Rayman, Ape Escape, Donkey Kong Country and so on. I'm sure you'd love both Rayman Origins and Donkey Kong Country Returns, as both are GORGEOUS and very challenging 2D platformers on modern consoles.
@b8kerskatr I'd love to! It doesn't run so hot on my laptop though...one day I hope to be able to record footage direct from my consoles. I'd do Meat Boy in a heart beat.
The video seems to lag/freeze from time to time after the Lololo & Lalala fight. Other than that amazing video. Oh and Lololo castle theme ftw, easily the best music in the game imho.

only parts of super meat boy are really hard (kid stages made me give up, but I got 100% light world and the larger part of the dark world)

@TheWordOfLife1 Something about how one should always judge others by the year in which they were born, or something...

@b8kerskatr That would be a great idea if he ever only has around 12 seconds to make a video.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one to play Kickle Kubicle!

Great diversity of games so far! Never would have guessed that you were such a seasoned Kirby player.
And the question of the hour is... Does Dedede end up besting you? Guess I'll have to stay tuned...
