id like to know how to install this on Debian, im using it for a server, and am used to ubuntu over debian so its difficult to transition, but i want to access it from a windows machine, any advice?

you no if you have the computers on the same domain you can use the pc name. eg. Laptop-01 or what ever saves remembing ips
