The vocal quality on the recording is poor. I turn it up to hear the chant, then have to quickly turn it down for the speakers being interviewed! LOL

BTW, I LOVE Anonymous 4 and Gregorian Chant ... what a great combination. I wish more churches would put on this type of workshop.

That being said, I don't find it to be mystical at all. I think though that you should be less critical of others when there is no need to be critical. There is no point in being pugnacious.

I would disagree... I believe you are giving her too much criticism. Mystical doesn't require religion- the two just usually go together. Music, however, can have a profound effect on one's soul and mind. Some people can find an altogether new meaning to life- without it being a religious meaning- through meditation. It is for many a very mystical thing. I think for some it is the same way with this music. This music is, after all, quite wonderful.

I love the Anon 4; but "mystical without being religious" is a sad, ridiculous statement...basically, I like beauty, but will take a pass on goodness and truth...that is what she is saying, and it's very common today.
