I remember all these old games. Todd day was my favorite player in 91 with that game against arkansas in the barn. what an arena.

UNLV was stacked in 1989-1990 they had 3 future NBA players, and 2 All-Stars with Augmon, Johnson and Anthony.

Larry Johnson and Greg Anthony would both play for my Knicks. L.J helped us get to a final. Greg Anthony SUCKED! He's a big reason why The Knicks didn't win the title in 1994. Man I hated Greg Anthony. lol

@GialloHorror The real reason why the didn't win the title in 1994 was because John Starks couldn't hit an open shot in game 7. Hubert Davis should've been playing.

I remember these teams playing at least three times when all of the key players were in place. The only one that wasn't competitive was the 1990 regional final, where Loyola really needed the late Hank Gathers. They couldn't buy a rebound and lost 131-101. They'd opened that season at Vegas and lost 101-92.

This was a much closer game than the video illustrates - actually, LMU was up at the half by two points. They couldn't hit a 3-pt jump shot in the second half (18%), otherwise they would have upset UNLV here, on UNLV's home court.
