In the beginning before hardstyle evolved into a separated style it was a name given for a collection of music styles. One of these styles were the darker hardtrance tracks, italian hardstyle en even some hardhouse tracks and hardcore. Since it was first just a name for a collection of styles it isn't that weird for a hardtrance track to be early hardstyle at the same time. I don't see the problem. Of course this music has nothing to do with modern hardstyle anymore.

@steviedoyle08 In 2001 Trance was absolutely HUGE in The Netherlands and Germany. Q-Dance was formed in 1999, they just had a different name. They began with Houseqlassics, in a few small venues. ID&T was the big dog back then.

Hardstyle was definately NOT big in 2001. In 2002 it began to have parties in bigger venues (10.000 attending), and in 2003 it became huge, while trance was dying, In the netherlands/Germany that is.

In 2006(?) HS began to go global.
