At first, it synchronized well all my bookmarks across Firefox and Chrome. Then it started deleting them ... and asking me if I had deleted them! Fortunately, I had them backed up. I restored them and then it deleted them again! I restored them again and it worked ok for a few days and then deleted them AGAIN!
Very cool screencast. Was about to do one myself, but with your permission I would like to refer to yours instead. Out of curiousity... which tool did you use for your screencasting? I really like your transitions :-)
Is there any chance the Xmarks bookmark & password data along with a portable version of the application that would run from within a USB keydrive without actually installing it on a separate computer possible to create something like that. I've heard of several programs that can. The idea of entering user account information in a public locale just seems to risky. While simply removing the drive & your data is safely stored as opposed to logging out of Xmarks a person could forget to do.
Oh yeah. XMarks gives you no way to contact them! ... or if they do, it's so well hidden I haven't found it.
They suck.
