  • wats the name of the song i this video?

  • Does your oil smell of coconuts? As I purchased a jar and it does not smell of coconuts? Thanks!

  • I paid $5.95 for same size at Trader Joes.

  • Cuban American ? whatt ?!?! me too !

  • The brand she is using cost more because it's a hand made product, not a factory product. It's higher in antioxidants. You get what you pay for.

  • Coconut oil doesn't turn bad if not refrigerated. It will turn to oil if kept in a warm environment and become solid if in a colder environment...just like butter. It doesn't require refrigeration.

  • You can buy Organic Virgin Coconut Oil from Trader Joes for 5 dollars :) I bought 3 jars this week and its WORKING WONDERS for me!!!

  • @cutetonychopper Yes, the vatika I buy at my local indian grocery store is $4.99 for 150ml. Why is it expensive?

  • you mentioned in your other video that the vatika is 4.99? for 150ml?

  • Your so pretty and your accent is so cute. Thank you for sharing.

  • @odd0odium Aww thank you! And thank you for watching!!!

    xoxo

    Leni *^_^*

  • your hair is so perfect, my god.

    so shiny and smooth

  • where is your ethnicity?

  • @SIMPLYME100 I am Cuban American. : )

  • @LeniGirly for some reason i thought indian, either way id say yes

  • Hey! I love the video. I was wondering if you would be OK if I link and share your video on my blog post about coconut oil. I've just barely launched so I don't have alot to show yet but I think if anyone comes across my post directing them to your video will give them some good extra info!

  • @jenneration3 Hi, sure you can link my vide on your blog. I"m glad you like this video. Thanks for watching!

  • your jewelry and eyebrows are so pretty :-)

  • @FastMovinTrain Oh thank you! You're so sweet.

  • Im crazy about hair products just like you. Ive used all different oils including the organic cocnut oil and the vatica. I absolutely love the vatica. It makes my hair super soft. An another thing ive notived is that over the years ive used a lot of heat in my hair which caused my hair to burn straight. After deep conditioning my hair with all natural products like these ive noticed that my hair has gotten back its natural curls.

  • Where can we buy this oil

  • @20ernestine The coconut oil you can buy it at the website tropical traditions and the vatika I bought it at a local indican grocery store, but you can also order it from Amazon.

  • What is the song in the beginning

  • "coconut oil does not need to be kept in the refrigerator. In the Philippines and other tropical climates, people traditionally have not refrigerated the oil. Virgin Coconut oil is very stable since it is unrefined and mostly saturated. The expiration dates on VCO are for two years, but they will usually be fine much longer than the exp dates. store out of direct sunlight. In the tropics coconut oil is almost always a liquid, since it’s melting point is about 76 degrees" -tropicaltraditions

  • from my years of using coconut oil, i've never refrigerated it and it has never spoiled. i believe you can store it in room temperature and it will liquify if the oil reaches 76 degrees or above.

  • Your hair is gorgeous! Have you ever used castor oil?

  • @pandaAYE Oh thankk you! You're so sweet. No, I've never used Castor oil on my hair. I've thought about using it but haven't yet. Do you use castor oil? If so let me know whether you like it or not.

  • You're really pretty :) and i love your hair too!

  • And monkeys all love it, and bananas. :) That is why they fit and have shining hairs. :) No lotion or any shampoo needed. :)

  • We also love to eat it and drink its milk. Only one thing is hard, because hard to open the hard shell. :) Not knowing any tip to open the coconut ?:)

  • your make up looks so good I love it!

  • Can i use any Cocount cooking oil that is available in Walmart or superstores. or any cocount oil with in jar that is in any other stores? Please reply thank you

  • @FaadumoArdo as far as i know, walmart has not carried the quality organic virgin coconut oil as in this video. your best bet would be to go to a health food store like central market, whole foods market, sprouts, or any other place that sells natural foods. make sure it is unrefined, unbleached, and virgin. the ones from walmart are not.

  • Does this help to thicken hair or grow more hair?

  • I buy VCO and Almond oil on the VITACOST website - much cheaper and free shipping with a low min. order... LOVE VCO!!!!!!

    I am obsessed too..... LOL

  • I've noticed cubans are beautiful lol, you're proof :)

  • your hair is gorgeous!

  • @heldylala i've heard really bad things about it such as that it clogs pores and doesn't allow skin to breath. coconut oil all the way!

  • @saerangkim you can try using it with a carrier such as jojoba oil

  • I bought my extra virgin organic coconut oil from the Vitamin Shoppe for $8. It's 16 fl. oz. as well and I love it (still have the same jar after almost a year).

  • Just look at this gorgeous girls hair and skin....she is GLOWING...the results speak for themselves.

  • i use the coconut oil in my hair but dont wash it out like what people say or do, is that bad that i dont wash it out?

  • @MsBOOPiiE no. it's just moisturizing to leave in.

  • i had to subscribe when you said you're obsessed with hair products. me too :)

  • & how often do u do it?

  • hi, i like your videos! i have a question :after washing your hair and u apply the coconut oil on your head and ends do u leave it? or rinse it out? ....thank you

  • coconut oil is perfectly stable, so , no, it won't go rancid

  • Hawaii -3 haha Hawaiian girl; is it ok if I use beachcomber budds's pure coconut oil used for tanning n hair? Made in Kailua kona big island? Respond to me soon :))

    ~~much mahalos, kayleb(girl) 13 years old yeeeeaaaaauuuhhhhBuuuuuudddaaay !!

  • you can find the same quality or better ,much cheaper on iherb.com.they have many different brands even half price than yours.actually they have thousands of natural organic products and supplements cheaper than whole foods.and you can use code KEB068 for 5 $ off on your first purchase.rally solid site, personally love it,take a look

  • Wife material!

  • i use that cocnut oil and i luv it...i soak my hair with this stuff in the night then tie it down with 2 silk head ties and by morning my hair is perfect

  • dear god she is adorable

  • iherb.com has a refferal code SIX330 just type it in when you wanna buy the coconut oil and you save 5 dollars :) your welcome.

  • another cool thing about 100% Pure coconut oil is that you can eat it and its really good for your immune system and all your other innards :)

so eat it and put in on yourself, its all good!

  • How often do u use the coconut oil? Monthly , weekly? Ur hair soo pretty :)

  • thanks for your video, but please i use coconut oil for my hair when i was in the school since then i hate it, it make me get downdruff, and last year i bought coconut oil in indian shop same thing happen to me, my hair is full of downdruff, so pleas what can i do

  • @TheLetlove pure coconut oil is supposed to actually help with dandruff. try using an ORGANIC virgin coconut oil. try brands like tropical traditions, garden of life, nutiva, nature's way, jarrow, barleans, etc.

  • I'm gonna try this!

  • Comment removed

  • I love ur Hair :) soo beautiful and healthy!

  • Coconut does work wonders! It makes my hair soft and it's helped with my hair growth. I'm Polynesian so I use coconut oil a lot. I also tried to use it as a makeup remover and was so happy that it works coz I don't like using chemical makeup removers.

  • Very informative video. I love coconut oil, I bought a tub that size last year in October and I still have plenty left! Another benefit is that it smells great unlike most other oils, and it doesn't clog your pours :)

  • I ALWAYS WORRY IF IT CAN MAKE HAIR GROWN ON YOUR SCALP THEN BY USING IT AS A FACIAL MOISTURISER SURELY IT WOULD PROMOTE/INCREASE FACIAL HAIR WHICH WE WOMEN REALLY DO NOT WANT?!!

  • @yasmeenfive it does not make hair grow on your face, no worries! But I use virgin coconut oil for my face and just recently I have started to try it for my hair also. I use it as a body moisturizer as well, but since I am currently 6 mo pregnant I also use Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Balm -to all the mom's-to-be, this stuff works great! I got couple strechmarks & they have since almost disappeared (the 1st one appreared about 3 wks ago) :)

  • hi! is there a difference between the Tropical Traditions ev coconut oil and the one hair treatment? I live in the UK and they only sell the extra virgin oil by Tropical tradtions but not the one that says hair treatment..

  • @mscaramelcreole Based on what I read in the website the difference is that the one that says hair treatment contains more protein. However, if you only have access to the one that does not say hair treatment i woud say give it a try. However, they also have other coconut oils on their website which is specifically for the hair. My fav is the rosemary and coconut oil. I did a review video for this product as well. Look it up on my page.

  • @mscaramelcreole the normal coconut oil is perfectly fine :) iv been using it for years and i have hair down to the bottom of my back and its thick so just give it a try :)

  • @mscaramelcreole oh and the way i use coconut oil is mainly to the scalp and then through the rest of my hair give your scalp a thorough massage and i leave it in for at least 4 hours so i like to put it on in the morning then wash it off after a few hours :) i hope that helps

  • are yu jamaican

  • @MsParker6793 I am from the Caribbean so you are close. I'm Cuban American.

  • @LeniGirly hi Leny may i ask when and how do u use that coconut oil? your hair is really pretty.

  • How much is it? And where can i buy those one?

  • good idea: use a new mascara wand and brush some onto the lashes. I'm sure that could be a natural lash conditioner and not harmful to the eye at all. Thanks for the idea!

  • youre beautiful

  • @rome71rome Aww thank you!!

  • I remember how skeptical I was about using coconut oil on skin/hair after trying olive oil... because olive oil absolutely SUCKS as a moisturizer... but I'm actually really glad I tired it out, lmao. It's way cheaper than so many deep conditioners that do the EXACT same thing :D

  • @xcnugget Yes, I've tried olive oil and I don't like it as much as I like coconut oil. I am hooked on coconut oil especially because of the hair growth it helps promote. My hair has never grown so fast and I don't have to spend money on other hair treatments that pretty much do the same thing.

  • love your hair!!

  • @farahkw Thank You! You're so sweet... : )

  • interesting with the eye makeup remover. yes i love coconut oil it is so good my skin feel so soft and i havent been wearing so much makeup the past couple of days. thanks for sharing. you are so pretty . you hair looks great too

  • @WonderWomanFan4life It's good to know that others love coconut oil as much as I do. Ever since I"ve been using coconut oil on my hair it has done wonders. Any ways, thanks for watching my video and for taking your time to leave a comment. : )

  • @LeniGirly

hey sexy. yes i love it. I am graduating to a Gallon i think i can save money buying it by the gallon. it makes my skin feel like satin. i love it.

  • try a health food store next time, i just bought a 20 oz jar for $7.99! its virgin, organic, cold pressed, exactly what i love! fruitful yield is where i got it, NOW brand

  • @WakenBakeGrl thanks for letting me know. I'm going to check out the Vitamin Shop which is like two minutes from my house. : )

  • My mom buys tons of products from Tropical Traditions, including this Coconut Oil. Never tried it on my hair though. :P She uses it for cooking, and the food tastes great!

  • @Lysimachus78 I want to try using coconut oil for cooking too. I've heard it makes food taste so much better. But yeah I love Tropical Traditions.

  • it also regrows hair! Trust me. It happened to me after I had hair loss from the Gardasil shot. I was traumatized but this product has made my hair grow back 95%! its been 4 yrs and it gets better every year. Everyone.....this is amazing!!!

  • @bish11084 Yes I agree. This product is Amazing!!! And yes I've noticed new hair growth after using this. : )

  • I have been using the coconut oil for a while now. :) I find that if I dampen my hair prior to applying it, my hair is feels amazing! When I apply it to dry hair, my ends seem to feel like Velcro haha

  • @fridamayditzel Well when I started using all of these oils it was because my hair wasn't growing at all. Ever since I've been using different oils on my hair such as coconut oil I"ve noticed some growth. You won't see drastic growth but I do think it helps.

  • thank you for the video, it has been so helpful! I bought the vatika cocont hair oil from out local indian store and after using it i loved it!!! My hair seemed fuller and healthier and i love the smell too! It has only been 2 weeks so i'm waiting to see if it helps my hair growth in the long run...

I wanted to ask you if you have ever used the Amla Gold hair oil? I have seen it advertised quite a lot and i wondered if it was any good at all, maybe even mix the 2 oils together?..

  • @nina8505 You're very welcome! I'm glad you love Vatika as much as I do. I've also noticed my hair seems fuller ever since I've been using it especially when I let my hair dry naturally. They have the Amla Gold at my local Indian store and I've been tempted to try it. I plan on trying out other Indian hair products so I will definitely be reviewing it when i try it. If you try it before me let me know how it goes.

  • I love organic coconut oil for cooking oil, for skin & for hair although I do find it makes my hair so soft, it becomes a little too fluffy and I need more definition and hold & don't really want to use chemical styling products as defeats the object. Have also tried a bit of coco oil after hair dry but quickly too greasy. Any ideas?

  • @hoopenliefde On my hair I use the leave in conditioner "It's a 10" and I've also been using the Moroccan oil.If my hair is still dry or frizzy I add some jojoba oil.You have to make sure to use a little bit because it can make your hair oily . Today I went to Bath & Body works and I applied some of the Fekkai glossing cream and it helped me with the frizz. & it made my hair shiny. I regret not buying it. I'm going to go back next weekend to buy it.

  • you can buy pure USDA approved coconut oil from iherb.com.

Its a really good price too.

and if your a first time coustomer you can use this code MOH807

to get 5 dollars off, great deal!

  • @belle893 Thanks for letting me know. I'll checkout that website.

    xoxo

  • i've always used vatika hair oil but now im just buying it from the store, it's amazing!!

  • @AdamIntellectual7 Yes it is! I just applied it as a leave in treatment last night after a few weeks of not using it. I had forgotten how healthy looking and soft it leaves my hair. I'm glad other people like it as much as I do.

  • I ordered the Coconut Oill From Tropical Traditions. I can't wait to get it!

  • @pinkladykitty Oh that's great.Don't even bother putting it in the refrigerator when you get it.I used to but then I heard that coconut oil doesn't spoil that quickly. So,now I used it as a body lotion after a shower and it makes my body so soft.I also used it on my hair but remember not to soak your hair with this oil or it might leave your hair sticky. Since this is pure coconut oil I only apply some on my scalp and ends and I massage my scalp for a few minutes.Let me know how you like it.

  • i just recieved my vatika this morning and ill be trying it out as a treatment this evening wish me luck! :)

  • @29jaz I"m sure you'll see results. However, be ready to deal with the fresh new little hairs that will grow. It's annoying at first but once they grow out you'll have beautiful fuller hair. It's worth the sacrifice. You will also need more than one bottle for sure. Also, I'm not sure if yo usaw my other videos where i mentioned that after using Vatika I noticed redish brown color on my black hair.So if your hair is light it won't be a big deal but if your hair is dark you will notice it.

  • I got it and I love it! I am using this everyday...It is OK because my hair soaks it up! My hair is loving this stuff! Thanks for the video and the recommendation! I was using Nutiva but I am glad I have the tropical traditions because there's is specifically for hair treatment (coconut) I like that and my hair LOVES it! It is EVERYTHING! My hair is drinking this! I have 3 jars...hopefully it will last! LOL!

  • where do you buy vatika??

  • @AzulDiamond93 I buy the Vatika at a little Indian store here by my house. They also sell it at amazon.

  • That's expensive! I paid 8 dollars for a very high quality coconut oil... plus, Coconut oil is very very hard to spoil. It can be left out of the fridge for a year. Unless that's some special type of coconut oil that has other stuff in it. If it's not, then you don't have to refrigerate.

  • @TheBahaiGirl It's expensive? :* ( Where did you buy your coconut oil? I'm glad you told me about coconut oil being hard to spoil because I hate it when I have to use it and it's super hard. This coconut oil says in the ingredients that it onlyhas coconut oil it doesn't mention any other products. Anyways, thanks for watching and for taking your time to comment. I really appreciate it.

    xoxo

  • @LeniGirly I bought mine from 'whole foods market'.. and it was about 6 bucks for a HUGE jar. And it's organic and nothing else is added to it and you know it's good if it smells like coconut. If it doesn't, then it's refined and messed up :)

No problem :) I was wondering the same thing and then I learned it is very hard to spoil.

  • Hi Leni,

I am so happy you made this video, I was actually just doing research on coconut oil for hair because I heard Indian girls use it and they have gorgeous hair!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • @RosieAlvarado Hey girly!

I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Have you started using coconut oil on your hair? If you haven't I definitely recommend it you'll love the results. I'm uploading a review video on another coconut oil I am using. Any ways, thanks a lot for watching!!!

    xoxo

    Leni *^_^*

  • hi leni, just wanted to tell you that i got the vatika oil, i used it last night and i yet have to wash my hair this morning, :) i also heard u say after a month u have noticed your hair has grown a bit, and my question is, this is from using vatika once a week for a month? or did u use it more often? thanks! i love your videos :)

  • @punkhoplove Hi, Yes the new hair growth that I've noticed is from Vatika because i haven't been using anything else. I only use this product on Saturday nights and I wash it out on Sunday. Thank you so much for your support. I am uploading a video about another coconut oil I am using on my hair. This is my new favorite oil it leaves my hair super soft and shiny.

    xoxo

    Leni

  • i use this for my hair too...it's so good...this is a great vid

  • @makeupmonsters1 Oh thanks!! I just starting using Shikakai powder. That stuff is Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LeniGirly

i never heard of a powder form!...so do you think the powder is better than the regular one...is it easy to apply...

  • @makeupmonsters1 I've never tried any other form. It's kind of messy to apply and it makes your hair super hard but once you wash it off your hair goes back to normal. I'm going to try it a little longer before I review it.

  • I love coconut oil. It is great for so many things. Much healthier in cooking than some other oils. I love when you post things about natural beauty products, they are great videos. Keep it up! :-)

  • @AngellicaBeauty Thank you! I'm glad you liked this video. Thank you so much for yoru support. I really appreciate it. : )

  • Ow btw! my hair always looks oily after I use coconut oil .. but im using shea butter and it doesnt look like straw as it did whit coconut

  • @ladymagnoliaa If you apply too much it will look super sticky. What I do is I apply a little bit on my hair, but the trick is to apply it once your hair is dry. If you apply it when your hair is wet you'll end up putting too much and not even realize it until your hair dries up. So far I love it because my ends go from looking dry and damaged to looking healthier.

  • I use unrefined palm oil as a pre wash.. It is cheaper and i have noticed my hair get thicker/softer after use because it drinks the oil.

  • ive been using coconut oil for my hair for about 2-3 years. I love it. I used to use navratna hair oil, then vatika coconut oil, then just organic coconut oil, then amla, and now im using vatika almond oil.

  • @nhss89 Oh wow you've used a lot of different products. I'm also planning on using different Indian hair products. From all those products which one would you say is your favorite?

  • @LeniGirly i would say at this time vatika almond hair oil is. =)

  • love your hair!!

  • @tiffanysclara Oh thank you!! : )
