@Tonyr67 32 years nice! I just think he tried to put his own personal touch on the song thats all. He was great either way. Hard to believe it's gonna be 20 years since his death.
@Tonyr67 I'd say this is an accurate comment. Carr was a sweetheart. I met him in Memphis. Joy of a guy and I was a huge Carr fan, but in all the 80s KISS shows I watched, I always felt like he was a little out of control and maybe even loose. Lots of repetitive fills and the same solo for several tours. I mean no disrespect but Singer does add a degree of discipline to the drumming sound.
@Tonyr67 You're right. It is sloppy. I think the focus was on impressing KISS with his speed, but it hurt the overall sound. Look, I've seen KISS live 18 times and I've probably spent $10K on the band; I think I'm entitled to an opinion, so I'm going to say it. I love Eric Carr. Tremendous person and good drummer, but just because he died before his time doesn't mean we have to like everything he does, and just because we don't, doesn't mean that we don't respect him any less.
Eric Carr shreds the drums on this jam, it sounds funky & metal @ the same time. He was very talented but not aprc8ed by Gene & Paul. ERIC CARR will ALWAYS Be the best drummer SSIK ever had. BTW- U SUCK THAYER! Wasup Ace?
Eric Carr was the only respectable replacement Kiss ever had.

I'm sorry for all you Eric Carr fans. But this sounds verry sloppy.....

@Tonyr67 Sloppy in what way? Are you a drummer? I am and I think maybe because the recording isnt that great it might sound off a little.

@leftyonedonny
To much bassdrums, to much of everything actually....
And his timing in this song isn't very good...
Alex van Halen his parts were already excellent on this one....
Am I a drummer? YES I AM, for about 32 years....

@leftyonedonny
I was never a big fan of Eric Carr...
I'm sorry....
It is all just so basic. I remember all KISS songs back then, where played much to fast.
It sounded really out of control!
For me, it was a relief when Singer joined the band.
Although Carr was a great guy!!!!
