  • Rememrber how you dumbasses got excited about this shit? Don't make the same mistake with the ps vita, dumbasses..

  • If only Sony knew that this was a bad idea. They said themselves that they would work on a way to put your old UMDs on it, but they never did. Then they made it so it's not compatible with the Go Cam. And they just had to top off that shit sundae with the outrageous price. $250. 2 years later and it's discontinued. It's discontinued and $200. Still a rip off.

  • what a piece of shit

  • fuc*king design...psp 3004!!! hallelujah!

  • Ikr lik u miite hav to wait for lik 5 hours to finish.

  • Hmmmm I don't know......I mean come on Sony. A smaller screen (3.8 LCD Screen), no camera, it does have a USB Cable that look like an Ipod cable. If you don't have wireless lol good luck. Sony has to be more inovative to please their customers. Also, Memory Stick Micros cost more than Pro Duos. It seems like Nintendo DSi might win this....C'MON SONY!!!!

  • branbueno,

You don't have to buy a Memory Stick Micro if buying the PSP Go; it's optional. Use the internal 16GB storage.

The bigger issue is the PSP Go costs more than a full-featured, UMD-playing (and downloading) PSP. Most don't know you can download PSP games on existing PSPs (been possible for years). Same games work on all PSPs when downloading.

Full-featured PSP + 16GB memory stick (add around $65-$70 US dollars) is actually cheaper than the PSP Go with 16GB. Plus does downloads & UMD.

  • branbueno,

Plus with a full-featured PSP you have the choice to buy 8GB, 4GB, 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duos, too. You don't have to buy 16GB if you don't want to and you can always play UMDs if you want, too.

PSP Go is good for compact size (around 15% less weight than PSP 3000 that sells now, 43% less weight than original PSP 1000) and it has bluetooth.

But aside from that, there's not much value in the PSP Go, in my opinion. Smaller screen, more cramped controls, non-removable battery.

  • interwebbist,

Thanks for the info but I still am not sure if i should buy this. But I would if you can answer one question of mine. Does it come with built in WIFI?

    -Branbueno

  • Branbueno,

Every PSP comes with integrated wi-fi for wireless downloads. It's the WLAN (wireless LAN) switch.

You will need a wi-fi router in your house or hotspot to download with. Or simply use a USB cable on an internet-enabled computer to transfer games and other content.

PSP Go will come with a USB cable and of course integrated wi-fi. With existing PSPs you buy your own USB cable (or use the same cable you might have with your digital camera...they are often the same cable).

  • interwebbist,

I may have been unclear in my question. What I meant to say is that does it come with a wi-fi hotspots like in the PSPs in Japan?

  • branbueno,

Wi-fi hotspots would depend on your area, I guess. Most people would be using it at home when using wi-fi.

Keep in mind you don't need wi-fi for PSP Go or existing PSPs. Sony have Media Go, their free download.

PSP Go comes with it, and you can download it now and start using it. It works for all PSPs. You can download from any internet-enabled machine running Windows XP or later (from memory) and have stuff transferred to the PSP from your intiernet-enabled machine.

    Regards.

  • branbueno,

Obviously you will need a USB cable for any existing PSP you want to hook up with the PC, but those are real cheap.

  • dose it play umds ???

  • no there is no umd support

  • it's HDD

  • PSP go seems like a bad idea..

  • Bin moi je la testerai bien...la fille hum lol

  • Umd Drive??? D:

  • NO,

    UMD!!

    PSN

  • OH NOES D:

  • PSP GO SUX PSP 300 IS DA BEST

  • how much

  • I have a psp 2000 so i am good.

If the PspGo had a camera ill aready had my money ready to buy it, but i dont.

But, Psp 1000, 2000, 3000, Go. enough with the changing.

  • will this support cso/iso?

  • It should be able to but you'll probably have to modify it

  • The Problem Is "PSP GO" is NOT compatible with UMD's, You Have To Buy The Games By Downloading From PSP Store, SO YOU CAN'T SHARE YOUR GAMES WITH OTHER PSP's

  • 1 big psp game is about 1gb... with sixteen I got 16 games to play without discks... awesome

Ireally could have seen 2 analog sticks thow ...

if you dont want to buy one... just hack a psp and get a 16 gb card

  • no touch screen, no cameras, its just a digital psp, ill stick with the 3000

  • ya dude this thing looks like a piece of shit sony is just trying to get some money to make up for the ps3

  • But you gotta admit it's sill pretty damn cool.I just wished all the isos and csos I have now are applicable to this baby.Or else this would be just an Ipod wanabe type of product

  • my only complaint about digital content mainly games that you download is that you cant trade them in or anything like that like i like that i can go to a pawn shop and get a old game for a couple bucks and if everything is digital we wont be able to do that ten years from now

  • a new metal gear dam thats first on my list
