I've been down there, the deepest it goes is like 40 meters, not 300 feet or whatever they say it is. there are only like 3 levels tops. it makes me so angry that they lie about it, but it's still the most amazing place on earth (to me at least).

I remember the first time i saw this on tv i was scared when thinking about what scared the explorerer, yet think about this, when he dropped the camera and it kept rolling, they never showed if something was following him or not, so who knows, he could have dropped the camera waited til it ran out of battery came back and left

Wow 0.0 look closely in between 1:07 and 1:08 you could see theres a face in the wall, it looks like a demon of some sort, thats probably what he saw and made him panic, or maybe there are other things he saw besides that, there are probably lots of dark entities and evil spirits there.

My guess is that he was using the camera mainly for light, but when he dropped it...well he kinda ran straight into blind darkness. So unless he somehow had a flashlight on him he didn't want to use earlier for some reason, then he was screwed the second he left his camera behind :/

Dude, why isn't there a search and rescue. Someone should write a letter to syfy. to ask where they can see the raw footage of that lost video. Plus isn't there a rescue search team. I think the man got lost and died... I am curious on how far he left from that spot. I would like someone to go down there and find the guys body... even if it's bones right now you will still see the bones inside his clothing. and I am sure he couldn't of gotten far from that last spot.

I grew up in Paris and starting at about 5:40, they are explaining about the Catacombs (officially called "The Mines of Paris".) The ones you see here in this video are abandoned limestone quarries. I think it is quite unlikely what they say at 6:03 "spreading under the entire city!" because it says that the Mines of Paris are under the 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th arrondisements.

@shadow479 something tells me he panicked when he noticed he was lost. people tend to do that when faced with a situation like that. he panicked, started running and his own paranoia, thinking he is being chased, was just maddening the helpful. in a full fledged terror he dropped his camera and went tilt paying little heed to the fact that he was just getting even more lost than before. eventually he ended up just like the bones in the Catacombs i'll bet.
