And i dunno if anybody else having this trouble but i noticed i couldn't highlight anything on edison, in the end all i had to do was unfreeze at the bottom of the edison player. Took me like 40mins to figure this shit out

smooth beat. need help on this one thing, got an akai mpk mini , and when i use fpc for the pads, they're all just in random order. like lets say when i press pad 1 on the controller, it just hits pad 9/ 32 in fpc. (btw the mpk mini has 8 pads with 2 banks; 32 pads) was wonderin if u had the same problem and if you dont, did u always have it perfectly laid out or did u change up something, i'd love to know.

@CristianDMusic you have to create a preset on the mpk... it doesnt have a preset for fl studio... mine is integrated with reason for me... it works well with plenty of programs, just with fruity loops you will have to spend the time of customizing everything and saving presets... I suggest you search on youtube along those lines and just gather as much info as you can man... thanks for watching

@MenaceeffectZ (my bad, 8 pads, 2 banks = 16 pads :P ) Anyways, figured it out, was a very simple problem. whenever u'd play a drum pad, inside the little fl window under the title it would give u the note ur playing. so this means that whenever u clicked the fpc pad it would give u whatever note that was initially assigned. u can obviously change it to whatever the controller was assigned to and voila... no problem

Alright, around the 6:46 point, how do you get the fpc to show up as a piano roll? I have an MPK and sometimes i just press on the pads and come up with crazy stuff but i dont know how to record them or even get them to my pattern. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is what i used to do but it's sampling the hard/long way. Instead drag the whole sample to FruitySlicer or SliceX,sync tempo and autochop it with markers. You also save harddrive space because everytime u drag samples from edison u add/take up cpu space. I only use the FPC for drum sounds.

click the arrow and then presets and just click empty

fyi- if all you want to do is ensure that a sample stops if you hit another pad then instead of using 'cut 1 by 1' you can limit the max number of voices - in polyphony under Miscellaneous Channel Controls.

I never used FPC (did know much about it.. till now!!) also after using cool edit now Audition I find Edison so what lacking... when palying around with sampled stuff I use IMPORT=> BEAT TO SLICE or do my own slicing using Audition, save as wave then mess about till I get something unque... well learnt something new !! thanx

Yeh the MPK is kind of a pain...with fl studio you have to create your own preset and set the pads to the correct notes that correspond with the fpc in fl studio....it is too hard for me to explain how to do it...i cant even remember unless i mess with it, but look in the manual and it explains how to set up your own presets with the pads

I try to stay away from the FPC in FL studio..really use the midi controller for basslines...use the pad controller for more midi friendly programs like reason and logic...but cool use of the FPC... Check my vids...I don't even use the pad controller at all..

Every time I try to play a chord using my midi controller with a synth like, finr instnace, Fruity DX10 only ONE note is recorded (I dont´mean audio but midi).The other two notes of the chord played simultaneously does´t even appear in the piano rol. What puzzles me most is that I can actually hear the full chord when I play it with the midi controller, but I does not seem to let me record more than one note at the time.

on the fpc in flstudio you just go to top left corner then that arrow go to presets and empty and you wont have to delete that stuff then u can save it as a presest so you wont have to do it nemore i no you said you use reasons now just thought i would try to help just like u are
