yeah, i wouldn't spend the time and money on modifying an auto. It sort of defeats the purpose.

I'm on my p's and got an auto, but i regret it and use the sport's shift all the time. Still got a manual licence though

why not??? autos get quicker times down the strip, I drive a 342 rwkw 6spd manual xr6 turbo but its a proven fact the zf 6 spd autos produce quicker times.

@Lynchy237 do they really get quicker times? you're relying on the car's ecu to find the "shift points" for that.

I guess with new transmissions and technology, they are able to make them seamingly accurate, but i'd say it would be a while when we start seeing perfect shift times in cars everywhere. Having said that - i would rather spent my cash on modifying something i know i will have control over.

Well these days auto boxes are so good that they're equal or better to manuals because the computer works out the optimum shift point for each gear.

I do love a good manual though hahah.

My mate just bought a XR6T..its crazy...he has bigger injectors, SS induction kit, flash tune and 14psi and his pulling low 12`s......cheap power...BUT it breaks all the time, the 6 just cant handle the power and the pedal to the floor in those things...well it can but not like the old 8 can...
