  • It will be 3 years that OLV was closed on February 26th. I love this video and view it often. It brings it all back, memories of the church was open and then, that moment when we were still united, if in sorrow.

  • join the PNCC our church wouldn't do this

  • How sad is this? We just lost another 2 churches in the Boston Archdiocese. Both of them with strong ethnic backgrounds. One of them was also Lithuanian, St. Casimir in Brockton, Massachusetts and the other was Holy Trinity German Catholic where the Latin Mass was also offered. I went there for years. I feel your pain!

  • I will post a video response to persuade the National Trust for Historic Preservation because the church is an edifice of historic significance.

  • Our Lady of Vilnius, is a "national parish" founded in 1905 to serve Lithuanian Catholics then living in the New York metropolitan area. National parishes were originally established to serve large numbers of immigrants from a particular country, preserving their cultural and religious celebrations.

Protestors from Our Lady of Vilnius church stood outside St. Patrick's on Palm Sunday armed with sharp sentiments against the Cardinal.
